REAL-TIME COGNITIVE ACCESSIBLE DATA VISUALIZATION ADAPTATION

Profile data associated with a user of a device is configured. The profile data indicates a condition of the user associated with a visual impairment. Image data associated with an object including visual information displayed thereon is captured. The image data is displayed in a display associated with the device. A frustration level associated with the user is evaluated. The frustration level is indicative of the user viewing the image data in the display. Whether an enhancement condition has been met is determined based upon the condition of the user and whether the frustration level has exceeded a threshold value. Responsive to determining that the at least one enhancement condition has been met, the image data is converted to enhanced image data. The enhanced image data includes an increased readability of the visual information displayed on the object.

A voice only phone and method of operation; the voice only phone having a microprocessor configured to operate an interactive voice respondent (IVR) that is used to verbally interact with a user. The IVR allows the user to interact with the voice only phone to place calls, receive calls, receive text messages, and respond to text messages using only voice commands. Furthermore, the IVR allows for the dynamic creation of a voice phone book that is progressively updated. In order to better recognize the voice of the user, the voice only phone creates a voice profile through a voice recognition setup sequence, wherein the user is prompted to dictate a plurality of audible calibration inputs. Once the voice profile is created, the user is able to place phone calls by either dictating a contact name or a plurality of digits for a phone number.

Augmented Reality Panorama Systems and Methods

There is presented a system and method for providing real-time object recognition to a remote user. The system comprises a portable communication device including a camera, at least one client-server host device remote from and accessible by the portable communication device over a network, and a recognition database accessible by the client-server host device or devices. A recognition application residing on the client-server host device or devices is capable of utilizing the recognition database to provide real-time object recognition of visual imagery captured using the portable communication device to the remote user of the portable communication device. In one embodiment, a sighted assistant shares an augmented reality panorama with a visually impaired user of the portable communication device where the panorama is constructed from sensor data from the device.
