The present disclosure provides details of a system and method for customizing an inmate communication notification. Such a system provides an inmate different customized notification messages to be played to different called parties. The system includes a list of different contacts, and each of the contacts can be associated with one or more contact numbers. Each contact number is associated with one or more customized notification messages. The customized notification messages include terms, phrases, and sentences that draw the called party's attention and sound familiar to the called party. The customized notification messages include customized text files, audio files, and video files. An inmate chooses one or more customized notification messages to be played to a called party.

A user desires to complete a call utilizing a head-mounted display and a communication device. A call-initiating event is detected at the communication device. In response to the call-initiating event, an intended call recipient is identified utilizing the head-mounted display. A call is then initiated with the intended call recipient utilizing the communication device.

A smart call method is applied in a smart call device, there being a first handheld device and a second handheld device containing the smart call device. The first and second handheld devices are bound and communicate with the smart call device. The smart call device receives an incoming call signal from the first handheld device and acquires images of nearby faces through an image acquisition unit in response. The first handheld device compares the acquired face images with stored user face images of the second handheld device. The smart call device sends a control signal to the first handheld device according to a successful comparison and the first handheld device calls the second handheld device bound with the smart call device.

One example may include receiving a call, identifying whether a calling party number and a called party number associated with the call have a pre-existing relationship stored in a database, responsive to identifying the pre-existing relationship, modifying a call message header of a call message to include a code object identifying enhanced call content, and forwarding the modified call message to an intended recipient device of the call.

A device includes a communication unit configured to receive a call request from a calling user; and a control unit configured to control the communication unit to provide a response message including information about a current situation based on information about an application currently being executed to the calling user in response to a rejection regarding the call request.

This application discloses a method, an apparatus, and a portable electronic device. The method includes: detecting an incoming phone call; automatically answering the phone call; determining that in at least one pre-stored event, there is an event matching a telephone number of the phone call, where the event includes: at least one of content of the event, a starting time of the event, or a location of the event, contact information of a participant, and permission of the participant; and the contact information of participant includes a telephone number; obtaining and parsing audio content of the phone call; and automatically answering the telephone call according to the audio content and permission that corresponds to the telephone number of the phone call. The method provided in this application has an advantage of effective privacy protection.

A system for publishing digital content is described which, in one embodiment, includes a beacon device associated with a first user configured to transmit identification information and information indicating its current position. A browsing device includes a display configured and adapted to display to a second user a representation of a local geographical area, and to selectively display to the second user content information associated with the first user, based at least in part on whether the location of the beacon device is within the local geographical area.

The present invention concerns a method, implemented by a telephone terminal in order to trigger an interactive application on recognition of the call number, the method comprising the following steps: the telephone number of a call made to a called number or of a call received from a calling number is compared to a list of predefined numbers; if said current number is present in said list of predefined numbers (110), an interactive application is activated and presented to the user (160), and if, furthermore, the call is an outgoing call (170), the telephone communication corresponding to said outgoing call is inhibited (180).

A technique for obtaining caller-originated alert signals in IP-based communication sessions is disclosed. According to one embodiment, the technique may be realized as a method comprising the steps of: receiving, from a first user equipment and via a first communication channel, a request to initiate a communication session, the request being received at a second user equipment; in response to the request, causing a phonepage server to transmit, via a second communication channel, a caller-originated alert to the second user equipment; and rendering the caller-originated alert to alert a user associated with the second user equipment.

A control method and an electronic device thereof are provided. The first electronic device includes a memory for storing call logs, a determination module for analyzing the call logs associated with a dialing pattern and identifying a second electronic device associated with a recipient in the dialing pattern, and a control module for, when attempting a call to the first electronic device, outputting information of at least one second electronic device associated with the first electronic device in accordance with the stored call logs.
