Device for audio input/output
An interpreter desk for a conferencing system is presented comprising a first interface configured to select an audio input channel from a plurality of audio input channels. Each corresponding to a different language, from which selected audio input channel a translation into a target language is to be performed. A processing unit is arranged to suggest one or more audio input channels and corresponding language as a source language for translation into the target language, based on at least one user preference and an indication of the quality of the different languages.
System and method for managing audio cut-in policy in MCPTT communication
The present disclosure provides a method and system for audio cut-in functionality in a mission critical push-to-talk (MCPTT) system. The method includes receiving, by a floor control server, a first floor request message, from a primary floor participant while a floor is granted to a secondary floor participant, applying, by the floor control server, an audio cut-in policy, granting, by the floor control server, the floor to the primary floor participant while terminating a media transmission of the secondary floor participant by revoking the floor from the secondary floor participant, and transmitting, by the floor control server, a first floor taken message to the secondary floor participant, wherein the first floor taken message includes information of the primary floor participant.
Method of controlling a real-time conference session
In a method of controlling a real-time conference session there is a first user and a second user connected to a media processing unit. The first user has a passive mode wherein data is received at and transmitted by the first users communication terminal as passive data but not received by the communication terminal of the second user and an active mode wherein the data received and transmitted by the first user's terminal and received by the second user's terminal as active data. When the first user switches from the passive mode to the active mode there is a duration of the conference call that is left to be transmitted to the second user. That portion has been recorded and is played at a faster rate to the second user.
Positional controlled muting
Systems and methods for controlling the privileges of participants in a multiparty interaction are described, wherein participants in the multiparty interaction are distributed among a plurality of areas, each area having different privileges, and further wherein a participant may obtain the privileges of another area by moving to the other area.
Methods and systems for automatic queuing in conference calls
Disclosed are methods, systems, and non-transitory computer-readable medium for automatically queuing participants during a conference call. For instance, the method may include receiving call data associated with a conference call; analyzing the call data to identify the participants on the conference call; and determining whether two or more participants of the plurality of participants are speaking at a same time. The method can also include tracking a first participant that continues speaking and a second participant that stops speaking; and displaying a queuing element on a graphical user interface (GUI) to indicate that the second participant is in a queue to speak once the first participant has finished speaking.
Terminals and method of communication between same
A method of communication among a plurality of terminals, including transmitting, by a first terminal of the plurality of terminals, a call setup request message of the first terminal to at least one other terminal of the plurality of terminals; and establishing, by the first terminal, a session with the at least one other terminal, the at least one other terminal having received the call setup request message of the first terminal, wherein a terminal having a floor of the session is determined based on priority information regarding terminals that requested the floor from among the plurality of terminals.
Conference system
A conference system, with which the convenience of setting work is high, is be provided. A conference system S includes a control unit (CU) 1 and a discussion unit (DU) 2, the DU transmits audio information to the CU, the CU includes a CU storage portion, an audio slot, and a CU control portion, the CU control portion assigns the audio slot to the DU that transmitted the running packet with the request flag added, control information for controlling operations of the CU and the DU includes addition mode information, specifying an addition mode among a plurality of addition modes for adding the request flag to the running packet, and assignment mode information, specifying an assignment mode among a plurality of assignment modes for assigning the audio slot to the DU, which transmitted the running packet with the request flag added, when the audio slot is not vacant, and the addition mode information is stored in the CU storage portion in association with the assignment mode information.
Method and apparatus for creating a dynamic history of presentation materials in a multimedia collaboration session
A system comprises client devices that include user interfaces that comprise workspaces that can be used to display a live history of a multimedia collaboration session. The workspaces can be private and can be configured to display information representative of media elements that can be shared within the multimedia collaboration session, but that are only viewable to a participant associated with a particular client device. The private workspaces can be used to preview information before publishing it to other participants or to view a live history of the multimedia collaboration session.
System and Method for Controlling Client Electronic Devices in Wireless Local Ad Hoc Network
Various aspects of a system and method for controlling client electronic devices in a wireless local ad hoc network are disclosed. The system includes one or more circuits in a server configured to receive a plurality of speaking-slot requests from a plurality of client electronic devices for a presented content. A client electronic device is selected based on an acceptance of a corresponding speaking-slot request. The acceptance of the corresponding speaking-slot request is based on at least an analysis of the one or more image frames of a user associated with the client electronic device and a context of the presented content. At least an audio stream provided by the user is received from the selected client electronic device. The selected client electronic device is controlled based on one or more parameters associated with at least the selected client electronic device.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR VIRTUAL CO-LOCATION
Systems and methods for facilitating collaboration between a local user or team in a meeting space and one or more remote users outside the meeting space are provided. The virtual co-location system may include, for example, an IOT device including sensors, a microphone, a beacon light, a speaker, a user control interface (e.g., including a control input adjusted by the local user, the user control interface producing an electronic control signal representing a setting of a control device), and/or a local microprocessor for executing local collaboration software. The virtual co-location systems and methods may also or alternatively include a remote computer having a remote microprocessor for executing remote collaboration software.
