An embodiment of the system for publishing events of a telephony application to a client includes a call router that generates events from the telephony application and an event router that manages the publication of events generated by the call router and that manages the subscription to events by clients. The system can be used with a telephony application that interfaces with a telephony device and an application server.

Method and apparatus for supporting an emergency call service in an IP multimedia subsystem session during handover

A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided to facilitate the handover from a packet switched network to a circuit switched network while an Internet protocol (IP) multimedia subsystem (IMS) session is ongoing. In the context of a method, a notification is received of the handover from a packet switched network to a circuit switched network while an IMS session is ongoing. The method also receives an indication that an emergency call service is active in the IMS session and determines that media resources in the circuit switched network are required to support the emergency call service, as supplemented by a minimum set of emergency related data, that is active in the IMS session. The method may further include causing the media resources to be reserved in the circuit switched network to support the emergency call service that is active in the IMS session.

Hierarchical decoupling, integrated and open communication open system

A hierarchical decoupling, integrated and open communication open system includes a large communication network, a Yunxi platform, and a customer, which are communicatively connected to one another, wherein the Yunxi platform includes a service application layer, a communication capability layer and a resource pool, which are communicatively connected to one another, the large communication network, the communication capability layer and the customer are communicatively connected to one another, and the service application layer is communicatively connected to the customer. The present invention innovates decentralized communication service provision methods, further integrate communication capabilities, encapsulate communication scenarios into flexible and easy-to-use communication modules, and provide a unified and convenient service interface, thereby lowering a user-side access threshold, and deeply integrating communication capabilities with application scenarios of government and enterprise customers.

Method and apparatus for enabling registration of aggregate end point devices through provisioning

A method and apparatus for enabling registration of an Aggregate End Point (AEP) device that is incapable of supporting a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) based Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) registration are disclosed. The method performs a static registration of the AEP device in a plurality of network elements associated with an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network by provisioning. The method then processes an originating call request or a terminating call request associated with the AEP device using the static registration.

Associated device discovery in IMS networks

A method of associating multiple user endpoints (UEs) with a single IMS session in an IMS network having a serving node for controlling at least one IMS session for a user and at least a first access network for providing access to UEs. The method involves associating a first UE with the user and with an IMS session; discovering a second UE in a proximity of the first UE; discovering information about the second UE; communicating the information about the second UE to the serving node; the serving node utilizing computer-implemented policy logic to determine whether to associate the second UE with the user and the IMS session; and if the policy logic determines that the second UE is to be associated, the serving node associating the second UE with the IMS session while retaining the association with the first UE.

Systems and methods for ingress call filtering

An ingress call filter system enables real-time or near real-time efficiencies of an inter-carrier switch. The ingress call filter determines if a received call to a called party is likely to fail. If the call is likely to fail, the ingress call filter returns an indication that the call should be filtered or rejected. If the call in not likely to fail, the ingress call filter returns an indication that a call router should attempt to establish the call. Such techniques mitigate penalties assessed to the inter-carrier network for incomplete or failed calls in real time or near real time.

Systems and methods for connecting heterogeneous networks

The present invention comprises systems and methods for controlling a connection between and IT infrastructure and a telephony network. In one embodiment, the present invention allows such control through the use of application services adapted for use with a telephony network, a telephony application server that exposes the telephony network to the application services, and a service mediation platform controlling the interaction between the application services and the telephony application server. The service mediation server may comprise a user profile manager for handling the user profiles of a subscriber database, a service level agreement manager for invoking a set of application services, and a resource policy enforcement manager for managing the resources of the telephony network.
