IMAGING DEVICE AND IMAGING METHOD
An imaging device, comprising an image sensor that has a plurality of pixels, and outputs pixel data by forming an image using the plurality of pixels, and an image processing circuit that receives the pixel data from the image sensor by means of a transmission path, wherein the image sensor attaches special information at specified positions within rows of pixel data and outputs the data, and the image processing circuit detects the special information of the rows of pixel data, and identifies transmission errors for the transmission path based on results of detection of the special information.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to acquire an additional processing program for performing additional processing in response to a connection of an additional processing apparatus configured to perform the additional processing for a function of the information processing apparatus, and store the acquired additional processing program in the information processing apparatus.
Image reading apparatus with detection of abnormal pixels
An original image is read as an aggregate of a plurality of pixels in which adjacent pixels have different colors (R, G, and B) in a main scanning direction and in a sub-scanning direction, and the read pixels of the respective colors are stored in a line memory in association with information on relative positions of the pixels with respect to another pixel. Then, the stored pixels are sorted so that pixels having the same color are adjacent to each other, and an abnormal pixel (dust) not present in the original image is detected based on the state of the sorted pixels. With this, the dust not present in the original image is detected without increasing the cost, and the dust is corrected without forming a conspicuous trace of correction.
Method for fast elimination of image distortions while inspecting images on printed products in a printing machine
A method for inspecting images on printed products in a machine for processing printing substrates includes recording and digitizing the produced printed products by using at least one image sensor in an image recording system, comparing the recorded digital printed images having been created in this way with a digital reference image by using the computer, digitally eliminating distortion in the recorded digital printed images beforehand by using the computer and, if the recorded digital distortion-free printed images deviate from the digital reference image, removing printed products having been found to have a defect. For the purpose of digitally eliminating the distortions, the computer divides the print and reference images into respective image parts and adapts the printed image parts pixel by pixel in terms of their positions in the printed image to minimize the difference between the printed image parts and the respective reference image parts.
Superposition detection and correction
A method, computer system, and computer program product for document superposition detection and correction are provided. The embodiment may include receiving a plurality of scanned documents. The embodiment may also include analyzing the plurality of the scanned documents. The embodiment may further include determining if there is a superposition scanning defect within the scanned documents based on the analysis. The embodiment may also include in response to the plurality of the scanned documents containing the superposition scanning defect, identifying a subset of documents within the plurality of scanned documents containing the determined superposition scanning defect. The embodiment may further include transmitting a notification to a user, wherein the notification identifies the subset and that the subset requires a rescan.
METHOD FOR GENERATING LEARNED MODEL AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a member having a certain function, a learned model, and an estimation unit. The learned model is obtained by learning of a self-organizing map model having an input layer and an output layer. The estimation unit gives multidimensional input data related to the member to the input layer, and estimates a state of the member on the basis of one of a plurality of nodes of the output layer.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING DEVICE, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM
An information processing device is connected to an image forming device via a network, and includes a processor configured to, in a case where backup processing or restoration processing for setting information of the image forming device is executed by way of a remote operation, associate and register device information that uniquely specifies the image forming device, and identification information for a remote operation service in which the backup processing or the restoration processing is executed by way of a remote operation, in a case where the device information and the identification information are acquired from the image forming device without the image forming device being operated remotely, prior to the backup processing or the restoration processing.
Image forming apparatus, method for controlling image forming apparatus, and storage medium
According to some embodiments, an image forming apparatus includes at least one storage device, a detection unit, and a control unit. The at least one storage device is logically dividable into a plurality of storage areas each capable of construction of a file system. The detection unit detects an abnormal access to the storage device. The control unit, in response to detection of the abnormal access, performs, for a storage area in which the abnormal access is detected, a recovery action corresponding to the storage area. If the storage area in which the abnormal access is detected does not correspond to a predetermined storage area, the control unit checks and fixes the storage area as the recovery action for the storage area in which the abnormal access is detected.
Image processing apparatus, image forming apparatus, and non-transitory computer readable medium
An image processing apparatus includes a receiver and a correcting unit. The receiver receives a first read value and a second read value. The first read value indicates a result of reading a first color by a reader from a recording medium in which the first color is applied to a first area in which in-plane density unevenness is confirmable within the recording medium. The second read value indicates a result of reading a second color by the reader. The second color is different from the first color and is applied to a second area that is substantially the same as the first area in a superimposed manner. The correcting unit corrects in-plane density unevenness of the second color applied to the first color in the superimposed manner based on the first read value received by the receiver and the second read value received by the receiver.
Printer script autocorrect
A method of processing printer scripts is disclosed. A processor receives the printer script. For each original line of the printer script the process analyzes the line of script to find errors. If no error is found in the script, the script is transferred to a print engine for printing. If at least one error is found in any line of printer script: the script is modified to correct the printer script error and produce a modified line of printer script. A comparison of the original line of printer script with the modified line of printer script is generated and printed, displayed or saved to a storage device.
