A printing apparatus of the present invention makes wireless LAN connection in at least either one of a first connection mode for making wireless LAN connection to an image processing apparatus in which inherent authentication information is stored and a second connection mode for making wireless LAN connection to the image processing apparatus via a second access point provided by an apparatus other than the printing device and the image processing apparatus. The printing apparatus controls, in a case of connection in the first connection mode, a first function provided by the printing apparatus to be enabled and a second function which is enabled in the second connection mode to be disabled.

A communication device includes a communication unit, a communication function allocation unit, a communication status determination unit, and a communication control unit. The communication unit performs communications with another communication device using a plurality of communication paths. The communication function allocation unit allocates communication functions to each of the communication paths in the communication unit. The communication status determination unit determines a communication status for each of the communication paths. The communication control unit controls communications for each of the communication paths in accordance with allocation by the communication function allocation unit and a determination result of the communication status determination unit.

A communication apparatus comprises: a communication unit configured to communicate with a recording apparatus having storage medium and capable of accepting an operation on the content data stored in the storage medium via communication; a registration unit configured to register a predetermined recording apparatus; and a control unit configured to perform control for receiving the content data stored in the storage medium, and to control predetermined processing for causing the recording apparatus to delete the content data stored in the storage medium, wherein the control unit, in a case where the recording apparatus is the predetermined recording apparatus registered by the registration unit, performs control so as to perform the predetermined processing for causing the content data stored in the storage medium to be deleted.

Methods and apparatuses are disclosed to personalize image capture operations of imaging equipment according to models that correspond uniquely to subjects being imaged. According to these techniques, a subject's face may be detected from a first image supplied by an image source and a first model of the subject may be developed from the detected face. The first model of the subject may be compared to another model of the subject developed from other images. Image adjustment parameters may be generated from a comparison of these models, which may control image adjustment techniques that are applied to the newly captured image of the subject. In this manner, aspects of the present disclosure may generate image capture operations that are tailored to characteristics of the subjects being imaged and avoid artifacts that otherwise could cause image degradation.

Different aspects of the disclosure relate to either transmitting at least one portion of at least one image representation from, or receiving at least one portion of the at least one image representation at, a shared image device in a manner at least partially relying on a positioning of the shared image device within a sharing region.

This invention provides an imaging apparatus comprising a storage storing correction values, a correction circuit which corrects captured image data based on the correction values, a first memory and a second memory, a transferring circuit which transfers the correction values in the storage to the correction circuit, a write circuit which writes the transferred correction values to either the first memory or the second memory, and a controller which controls, in a case where a transfer time of the correction values is longer than a time for image capture processing of one frame, so that, over an image capturing period of a plurality of frames, the write circuit writes new correction values to one of the first and second memory and the correction circuit corrects the captured image data using the current correction values in the other memory.

A method and device for image storage control, and a storage medium are disclosed. The method may include: collecting biometric information of a user during capturing an image; and performing storage and clearing processing on image data obtained by capturing according to storage control information corresponding to the biometric information.

A digital camera with a printer is a digital camera with a printer and includes a communication unit that communicates with a digital camera with a printer that is another apparatus, and an image composition unit that generates a composite image in which a first image captured by the digital camera with a printer that is an owned apparatus and a second image captured by the other apparatus are composited, in which the communication unit transmits the composite image to the other apparatus. A user of the other apparatus can also obtain the composite image. Accordingly, the composite image can be enjoyed by capturing images using a plurality of cameras.

Provided is an electronic device. The electronic device may include: a display; a processor operatively connected to the display; and a memory operatively connected to the processor, wherein the memory may store instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to: display an image on the display; identify tiles corresponding to at least a region of the image selected as a region of interest; select the identified tiles from a file in which the image is stored; and store at least one piece of information on the region of interest, and the selected tiles, wherein the file in which the image is stored may be a file in which the image is compressed and stored as a plurality of tiles. It is also possible to provide various other embodiments.

There is provided an image management apparatus. A first receiving unit receives an image from a communication apparatus. A sending unit sends the image and an evaluation request for the image to an image evaluation apparatus configured to perform evaluation with respect to likelihood that another user will purchase the image. A second receiving unit receives an evaluation result for the image from the image evaluation apparatus. A registering unit registers the image in a server apparatus configured to provide an image sales service, in a case where the evaluation result indicates that the likelihood satisfies a predetermined standard and information, which indicates that a user consents to having the image registered in the server apparatus, is set in the image.
