In an image forming apparatus: a report reading portion reads image data of a print report that has already been printed; a memory stores report data of a current time point; a format determining portion determines whether or not the read print report and the report data match in format; a change search portion, when the print report and the report data match in format, determines whether or not changed information is included in the report data by comparing the report data with the print report for each item, the changed information being information that has been changed from corresponding information in the print report; and a change output portion, when the changed information is included in the report data, re-prints the changed information in a vicinity of pre-change information on the print report, the pre-change information corresponding to the changed information.

A method for generating a digital image collage is provided. The method includes displaying a collage template on a user interface, wherein the collage template includes populating a plurality of randomly configured apertures with digital images; assigning a weight to each of the apertures based on an area of the apertures; and selecting a new digital image to add in the layout. In response to the user input command, comparing the weights assigned to the respective apertures in the layout to identify an aperture having the greatest weight among the apertures; randomly dividing the aperture having the greatest weight into two new apertures to change the layout to a different arrangement; and populating the two new apertures and the remaining undivided apertures among the plurality of apertures in the layout with the new selected digital image and the previously selected digital images, thereby generating the digital image collage.

An image to be printed is displayed in an image display region EA1 set on a center line L passing through a center of a screen in a width direction. A print button PB for providing an instruction for printing of the image and an image editing menu buttons EB1 to EB3 are displayed in a button display region EA2 side by side along the width direction of the screen. Systems and apparatuses for applying coating to nails are disclosed. In one aspect, embodiments of the present disclosure include a method, which may be implemented on a system, to performing image processing on an image of the nail to locate a boundary of the nail. The method can further include determining a path along which to move the nail relative to an applicator, the applicator being used to coat the nail. In a further embodiment, using the located boundary of the nail, a dispensing procedure for the applicator to follow to coat the nail is determined.

A terminal apparatus performs: receiving a first selection operation of selecting a shot image; acquiring a first characteristic amount relating to a shape of at least one of the shot image and an object included in the shot image; acquiring a second characteristic amount relating to a shape of a frame included in each of a plurality of templates; controlling a display to display a selection screen for selecting one template, the selection screen showing, as a particular template, a template including a frame of the second characteristic amount indicative of a shape corresponding to the first characteristic amount such that the particular template is distinguishable from a template other than the particular template; receiving a second selection operation of selecting a selection template on the selection screen; creating a composite image by combining the shot image with a frame included in the selection template; and outputting the composite image.

A computer-implemented method programmed for execution in a computing environment for ordering and facilitating payment of a print product. The method comprises storing a digital image in a memory of the computing system; allowing for the selection of a print product using a user interface to establish a print order, wherein the print product includes the digital image, and wherein the print order includes an identification of the selected print product and an order cost; generating a unique payment link by the processor that corresponds to the print order and provides a user computing device with access to communicate payment information to a remote payment processing system; providing access to the unique payment link to the user computing device; receiving a payment notification at the processor from the remote payment processing system; and allowing for the fulfillment of at least a portion of the print order using a printing device.

A system and method for generating a digital image collage is provided. The method comprises displaying a user interface comprising a collage template including a layout, and a catalog segment; displaying a plurality of digital images in the catalog segment; generating a first aperture in the layout to establish a first arrangement, and populating the first aperture with the first selected digital image; changing the layout from the first arrangement to a second arrangement, wherein the second arrangement comprises randomly dividing the first aperture into a second aperture and a third aperture, populating the second aperture with the first selected digital image, and populating the third aperture with the second selected digital image thereby generating the digital image collage.

A technique that guarantees update of a program of a finisher unit while preventing a malfunction thereof from being caused by erroneous attachment thereof to a printing apparatus. Hardware identification information is acquired from the finisher unit. When it is determined based on the acquired hardware identification information that the finisher unit is compatible with a program of the apparatus, program identification information is acquired from the optional unit, for determining based thereon whether a program of the finisher unit program is associated with the program of the printing apparatus. If the programs are associated with each other, the versions there are compared. If the versions are not compatible, the program of the finisher unit is updated to a version compatible with the version of the program of the printing apparatus.

In one aspect, the present disclosure relates to decorating and printing of edible media sheets based on a user-uploaded image. Using a browser-based user interface, the user selected image can be edited and embellished as an edible media design. The edible media design is converted to print data to enable printing of the edible media design using a printer installed with edible ink.

An information processing apparatus, which determines a leaning of an object image in a case of inserting the object image into a predetermined area included in a captured image, includes: a detection unit configured to detect the predetermined area from the captured image; a generation unit configured to generate a rectangle that includes the predetermined area detected by the detection unit; and a determination unit configured to determine a leaning of the rectangle relative to a horizontal line or perpendicular line of the captured image as the leaning to be used for inserting the object.
