An image processing apparatus includes a reservation setting unit, an operation unit, and a setting controller. The reservation setting unit receives a process request reservation through a communication line from a terminal used by a first user, and sets a reserved state. The operation unit receives an operation input from a second user different from the first user. The setting controller applies control to allow the second user to perform, with the operation unit, an input operation of a setting item regarding a process request and a setting value of the setting item in the reserved state.

Using a web browser, a client terminal accesses a web application server on which a web application operates and controls an image input device. A displayed web page from the server has an embedded image input control script that operates on the web browser and controls image input. Under the control of the image input control script, an image acquisition request is sent to the image input device when a specific operation is performed on the displayed web page, and, as a response, an image is acquired from the image input device. There is provided a non-transitory computer readable medium storing a program for a computer of an information processing apparatus, the program causing the computer of the information processing apparatus to carry out: acquiring an image data as a print object; generating a print data, which is an image data for printing, after determining whether or not to change a direction of the acquired image data based on a double-side print setting, and changing the direction of the image data in a case in which the image data is determined to change the direction; generating a preview data, which is an image data for previewing, from the print data after rechanging the once-changed direction of the image data in a case in which the print data is generated after changing the direction of the image data; and displaying the generated preview data onto the information processing apparatus.

An information processing apparatus capable of providing a first user interface (UI) environment and a second UI environment includes a determination unit configured to determine a UI environment that displays a message screen, and a control unit configured to, in a case where a message screen is required to be displayed to a user when a processing request is made to a peripheral device via an application, control a request for displaying the message screen, wherein a message screen adapted for the UI environment determined by the determination unit is displayed according to the request controlled by the control unit after the processing request is input via the application.

A method and system generate an image of a lottery ticket with a branding mark indicating that the lottery ticket was presented for redemption and is thereafter void, wherein the lottery ticket is presented by a patron at a terminal having a digital image capture device. At the terminal, a digital image of the lottery ticket is generated with the digital image capture device and presented on a display. The image is modified on the display to include a branding mark indicating that the lottery ticket has been presented for redemption and is thereafter void. At the terminal, a copy of the modified digital image of the lottery ticket is printed and presented to the patron.

Disclosed are various examples for network printer detection and authentication for managed device deployment. In one example, a computing environment can access a listing of network printers received from a printer discovery service executed in an enterprise device in an intranet behind a firewall. A user group associated with a client device enrolled with a management service can be identified as well as at least one of the network printers assigned to the user group. The client device can be remotely configured to access the at least one of the network printers assigned to the user group.

Disclosed are various examples for network printer detection and authentication for managed device deployment. In one example, a computing environment can receive an identifier from a client device over a network, where the client device detects the identifier based on a wireless transmission performed by a transmitter in association with a print operation assigned to a network printer. The computing environment can determine whether an authentication is required at the network printer in association with the print operation and cause an agent application executable on the client device to obtain authentication data. An authentication can be performed based on the authentication data received from the client device and, in response to a successful authentication, causes the print operation to be performed by the network printer.

An image forming apparatus includes an image generating unit for generating a job image, a color verification image generating unit, a color converting unit for performing the same color conversion on the job image and the color verification image, a printing unit for printing the job image and the color verification image subjected to the color conversion, a colorimetry device for measuring the colors of a printout of the color verification image, a storage unit, a storing control unit for storing the job image in the storage unit in association with the color verification image and colorimetrical values thereof, and a reprinting control unit, wherein the printing unit performs a test print of the stored color verification image before reprinting, and the reprinting control unit compares colorimetrical values obtained during the test print with stored past colorimetrical values and outputs color differences.
