DOCUMENT PROCESSING SYSTEM WITH AUTOMATIC AFTER-SALES SERVICE AND DATA PROCESSING METHOD
A document processing system with automatic after-sales service comprises a mobile device of a user, a remote server provided by a vendor connected to the mobile device though a network and a document processing device used to provide code information. The code information has link information and device status information of the document processing device. The user holds the mobile device to retrieve the code information, and obtains the link information and the device status information based on the code information, and sends the device status information and user contact information to the remote server. Thus, the user can quickly connect the vendor with named user contact information through network transmission technology, and the purpose of improving the convenience and efficiency of using the document processing system can be achieved.
Document processing system and method for associating metadata with a physical document while maintaining the integrity of its content
For use with a physical document bearing content visible when illuminated by light in the human visible spectrum, a tag printer, a verifier and a document processing system employing one or both of the printer and the verifier. In one embodiment, the tag printer includes: (1) a processor operable to generate metadata regarding the physical document and (2) a printer associated with the processor and operable to print a tag containing the metadata on a location of the physical document irrespective of locations of the content using an ink substantially invisible in the spectrum.
METHOD FOR PROVIDING AUTHENTICITY INFORMATION
A method for providing authenticity information has the following steps: a) providing a blank packaging (11) for a product to a printing machine (12), b) receiving or generating a template of the visual identifier (40) by the printing machine (12), c) applying, in particular printing, at least the visual identifier (40) on the packaging (11) by the printing machine (12), d) providing the packaging (11) having the visual identifier (40) to the quality control unit (14), e) receiving a packaging (11) for a product by a quality control unit (14), the packaging (11) having a visual identifier (40), f) reading the visual identifier (40) by the quality control unit (14), g) creating a first block (B), being a block of a blockchain, based on the visual identifier (40) by the quality control unit (14), the block comprising information about the visual identifier (40) and information about the packaging (11), and h) providing the first block (B) to the associated blockchain network (20) by the quality control unit (14).
Further, a quality control unit (14) and a system (10) are shown.
METHOD, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM FOR CHARACTERIZING AN OPTICAL SYSTEM
Techniques for characterizing an optical system (for example, a printer verifier) are provided. In this regard, the optical system may be characterized for scanning a printed image. The characterization of the optical system includes determining an effective aperture size of the optical system, and correspondingly an effective resolution at which the optical system can be configured to scan a portion of the printed image according to verification requirements.
Image forming system, image forming apparatus, and document server apparatus
A system includes an image forming apparatus, a first document server apparatus, and a key server apparatus, the image forming apparatus being configured to determine whether document data is private or public, when the document data is determined to be private, then determine a level accessible to the document data, and transmit level information indicating the level and the document data to the first document server apparatus, the first document server apparatus being configured to receive the level information and the document data from the image forming apparatus, generate a document ID for identifying the document data, store the document data in association with the document ID, transmit the document ID to the image forming apparatus, determine an accessible user ID that identifies a user accessible to the document data based on the level information, generate a public key and a private key used to encrypt the document data.
Near field wireless communication of printer job settings
Systems and methods relate generally to set up for a touchless use of a printing device, as well as touchless use thereof, are disclosed. In such a method, a printer driver programmed into a host computational device is accessed to display a user interface on a display device for input of job settings displayed via the user interface. A graphical user interface image of the user interface is displayed on the display device. The input of the job settings is accepted via the graphical user interface image. A quick response (QR) code is generated by the printer driver using the job settings for contents for the QR code. The QR code is displayed on the display device. The QR code is captured with a camera of a programmed mobile device. The QR code is converted into a near field communication (NFC) message by the programmed mobile device.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE, FACSIMILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, FACSIMILE RECEIVING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY RECORDING MEDIUM
An electronic device includes circuitry to determine whether to reject or accept a facsimile being transmitted from a transmission source based on a common transmission source list. The common transmission source list is shared by a plurality of electronic devices including the electronic device. The circuitry further outputs a part of the facsimile in response to determining that the transmission source is one from which the facsimile is to be rejected, based on the common transmission source list.
Systems and methods for identification document processing and business workflow integration
A method includes: receiving or capturing an image comprising an identity document (ID) using a mobile device; classifying the ID; analyzing the ID based at least in part on the ID classification; determining at least some identifying information from the ID; at least one of building an ID profile and updating the ID profile, based at least in part on the analysis; providing at least one of the ID and the ID classification to a loan application workflow and/or a new financial account workflow; and driving at least a portion of the workflow based at least in part on the ID and the ID classification. Corresponding systems and computer program products are also disclosed.
PRINTED MATERIAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND SHREDDER
A printed material management system includes a non-transitory computer readable medium storing a management program, a server, and a shredder. The management program is configured to cause a controller of a device to execute a print data acquisition process, a generation process, a printing process, and a transmission process. In a case where the shredder receives specific information, the shredder is configured to execute a reading process of conveying a printed material input from the inlet and reading the code printed on the printed material by using the scanner. In a case where the shredder does not receive the specific information, the shredder is configured to convey a printed material input from the inlet and shred the printed material using the cutter without executing the reading process.
INSPECTION APPARATUS, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An inspection apparatus that reads an image formed on a printed material to generate a reference image of an inspection target, and specifies each region including an object in the reference image, and displays the regions such that the regions are selectable. Also, the inspection apparatus batch-sets inspection conditions for a plurality of regions selected by the user via the displayed reference image. Further, the inspection apparatus disables batch setting of an inspection condition in a case where a plurality of regions selected by the user include different regions that include objects of different inspection types. On the other hand, in a case where a plurality of regions selected by the user do not include such different regions, the inspection apparatus enables batch setting of an inspection condition.
