A printing apparatus of the present invention has a printer unit, a display unit for displaying a screen, and a setting unit for setting either of a first setting for displaying the screen by standard color information and a second setting for displaying the screen by color information different to the standard color information. If the second setting is set, the color information of the screen displayed by the display unit is changed, and if a code image to be read by an external apparatus is included in the screen displayed by the display unit, the code image is made to not be displayed in a state in which color information of the code image is changed even if the second setting is set.

An image recording apparatus includes a conveyor configured to convey a sheet in a conveying direction, an image recording engine configured to record an image on the sheet, a cutter configured to cut the sheet, a reader configured to read an image on a medium, an operation interface, a display, and a controller. The controller executes reading an image on the medium with the reader, recording an image on the medium which is read in the reading on the sheet with the image recording engine, cutting the sheet at a prescribed position in the conveying direction with the cutter, and displaying a first screen on the display before executing the reading, the recording, and the cutting. The first screen includes a first icon representing the medium to be read with a rectangle and a second icon representing the cut sheets with at least portions of at least two rectangles.

According to an embodiment, an image processing apparatus includes: a job executor which executes a job according to a mode; a storage which stores, as history information, a setting history of the job; a display which allows a reception image, which receives an instruction to call the history information that has been stored, to be displayed; and a controller which performs, during execution of the job, display control of the reception image according to the mode.

An image processing system includes an information processing apparatus and an image processing apparatus. The image processing apparatus generates a plurality of pieces of image data by scanning a plurality of documents, associates, with image data generated by scanning a handwritten document out of the plurality of pieces of image data, information indicating that the image data is image data generated by scanning a handwritten document, and transmits, to the information processing apparatus, the plurality of pieces of image data and the information. The information processing apparatus receives the information and the plurality of pieces of image data; and executes character recognition processing on first image data with which the information is not associated, and obtains character information based on the first image data, wherein character information based on second image data with which the information is associated is obtained by executing processing different from the character recognition processing.

When a display changing operation is performed after a shift is made to a rotation mode, a display input device performs a rotation display of an object, and increases a rotation angle of the object per unit movement amount of a predetermined touch point according as a distance between two points touched in a mode switching operation is larger. When a display changing operation is performed after a shift to an enlargement/reduction mode, the display input device performs an enlargement/reduction display of the object, and increases an enlargement amount or a reduction amount of the object per unit movement amount of the predetermined touch point according as the distance between the two touch points touched in the mode switching operation is larger.

An image forming apparatus includes a processor, a storage unit, a paper sheet feeder, an image forming unit, and a postprocessing unit. The postprocessing unit performs postprocessing on the recording sheet following image formation by the image forming unit. When a print/postprocessing job in which a plurality of copies is printed and postprocessing is performed on each copy is executed by the print-job execution unit, the postprocessing-position marking unit labels image data for at least the head page of the first copy with predetermined marks respectively in a position where postprocessing is to be performed and in a position where postprocessing is performable. A system and method for printing large files from a memory constrained mobile device analyzes image files to determine whether decompressing them for display or printing would result in image data exceeding device capacity. If not, the image data is displayed on the device and sent to a printer. If so, metadata in the image files is altered such that image data is generated at a lower resolution before decompression for displaying and printing.

In order to provide an operation console having superior operability and visibility, a touch-panel display includes a display panel displaying a copy mode basic screen image with virtual keys, and a touch-panel receiving an input operation to the virtual keys. The controller configured to perform a remote display control of transmitting remote data to an information processing device. The remote data is data making a browser of the information processing device display a remote screen reproducing an operation screen of the image forming device. The controller is configured to perform obtaining decision information used to determine a mode of the remote screen and determining the mode based on the obtained decision information. The controller displays the remote screen having the display content of the mode on the browser by transmitting the remote data in accordance with a restriction parameter.
