The determiner determines whether the operation procedure data that the support information stored in the support information storage indicates is up to date. The editor, when the operation procedure data is not up to date, edits the operation procedure data stored in the support information storage to up to date.

An electronic apparatus includes a remote operation executor, a support information manager, and a display controller. The remote operation executor executes remote operation that receives the operation support from an operator terminal. The support information manager obtains support information from a support information storage, the support information storage storing, as the support information, operation procedure data indicating a series of operation inputted at the operator terminal. The display controller displays on the display an operation procedure indicated by the operation procedure data included in the support information obtained by the support information manager.

An image forming apparatus includes a printer engine configured to print a print image on a recording sheet based on image data, a post-processing device configured to perform post-processing on the recording sheet having the print image, and circuitry configured to perform following operation. The circuitry is configured to acquire print setting information; acquire information on a post-processing capability; generate a predicted image representing a state of the recording sheet applied with the post-processing, based on the image data, the print setting information, and the information on the post-processing capability; and display the predicted image.

In accordance with an embodiment, an image processing apparatus includes an image reading section configured to read an original document and generate image data, the image data corresponding to the original document or a part of the original document. The image processing apparatus further includes a control panel including a document area for displaying a plurality of images, the plurality of images including an image which corresponds to the image data. The control panel is configured to receive input designating the image corresponding to the image data and at least one other image from the plurality of images. The image processing apparatus also includes a controller, which in response to an instruction, generates an aggregation image including the image corresponding to the image data and the at least one other image from the plurality of images.

A transportation device performs transportation of the document set at a front insertion-ejection port as an insertion port and ejection port of the document. A controller performs in a first scanning mode image scanning of a top sheet of the document if the document has been bound with a staple. In the first scanning mode, the controller performs image scanning of a partial scanning area in the top sheet while transporting the document using the transportation device, and reverses a transportation direction of the document at a time point that the image scanning of the partial scanning area is finished. The partial scanning area is from a front end to a predetermined position of the top sheet, and the predetermined position is a position nearer to the front end than a binding position of the staple.

An image forming system includes: an image forming apparatus that includes an image forming section that forms an image on a recording material in accordance with a print job and a first reception section that receives a command about output of the print job; and a post-processing apparatus that includes a post-processing section that performs post-processing on the recording material transported from the image forming apparatus in accordance with the print job and a second reception section that receives a command about the post-processing and that receives a command about re-output of the print job in a case where the print job is to be possibly re-output.

An image processing apparatus includes: an automatic document feeder; a document placement table; a document detector provided on at least one of the automatic document feeder and the document placement table, the document detector being configured to detect a document; and circuitry to cause a display to display one of a first screen that receives an input for selecting an orientation of a document placed on the automatic document feeder and a second screen that receives an input for selecting the orientation of the document placed on the document placement table, based on a detection result of the document detector.
