The operation includes simple operation for selecting an output destination to receive output of the image data. When the operation reception section receives the simple operation, the controller starts reading the document by the reader, displays a screen indicating reading in a display period including a read period until reading of the document is completed, and displays another screen after the display period. The operation reception section is configured to receive change operation of the output settings in a reception period included in the display period, and when the change operation is received, the controller outputs processing of the image data in accordance with the changed output settings.

A function identification information acquisition circuit acquires function identification information for identifying a particular function from one or more electronic apparatuses executing a plurality of functions, the function identification information being associated with one of apparatus identification information for identifying the one or more electronic apparatuses and user identification information for identifying one or more users registered in the one or more electronic apparatuses. An important function selection circuit selects a function with high importance from the plurality of functions based on the acquired function identification information. An important function identification information supply circuit supplies important function identification information to one of an electronic apparatus identified by the apparatus identification information that is not associated with the important function identification information and an electronic apparatus in which user identification information that is not associated with the important function identification information is registered.

An image processing apparatus that is capable of reducing a user's burden about setting of setting information while maintaining a desired security level about the setting information. An operation screen displays information. A holding unit holds setting information about a job when a user logs out from the image processing apparatus during execution of the job. A display control unit displays the setting information held by the holding unit on the operation screen when the user who logged out from the image processing apparatus during execution of the job logs in to the image processing apparatus again, and to restrict the displaying on the operation screen when a user other than the user who logged out from the image processing apparatus logs in to the image processing apparatus.

According to one embodiment, a controller extracts history records in which the set value of the paper selection is “A3” from setting information history in a storage, and arranges them to the side of the various setting items in chronological order. Specifically, the controller displays three pieces of setting information, starting with the latest setting information, followed by older setting information, on the right side of the various setting items. In displaying the pieces of setting information, in order to clarify and highlight parts having discrepancies relative to the set values of the various setting items, the color may be changed, a box may be used to surround such a part, or characters may be displayed in bold.

In some implementations, a user interface is adjusted using a set of customization rules and displayed on a user device. A first subset of customization rules is selected from among a set of customization rules that is associated with an application on a user device. A user interface is generated based at least on the selected first set of customization rules. After generating the user interface, user interaction data is received, and sensor data from the user device is also received. A second subset of customization rules is selected that includes one or more rules different from the first subset of customization rules. The user interface is adjusted according to the selected second subset of customization rules and provided for display on the user device.

An image reading apparatus includes: an operation unit; a setting unit configured to set one of a plurality of operation modes, in which different processing is executed for a document, in accordance with an operation content of the operation unit; a reading unit configured to read the document in response to a reading execution request from the operation unit; and a control unit configured to control the reading unit whether or not to execute a reading preparation operation before the reading execution request is made depending on the set operation modes set by the setting unit.

An image reading apparatus includes a scanner, a sensor, and a controller. The sensor is configured to detect an original at a predetermined position. The controller is configured to determine whether or not an immediate execution mode in which no user operation is needed to cause the scanner to start scanning is set, and in case the immediate execution mode is determined to be set, determine whether or not a scan start condition is satisfied. The scan start condition includes the sensor detecting the original at the predetermined position. The controller is configured to control the scanner to start scanning, upon a standby time of a predetermined amount being passed since the scan start condition is satisfied.

According to an image processing apparatus of one aspect of the present disclosure, when a calling button used for executing an app is selected, a setting button generated based on a change history of setting information is displayed. This allows a user to select a setting value in a short procedure without increasing the number of calling buttons to be displayed on a window.
