Image scanning method and image scanning device applying the same

An image scanning method is applied in an image scanning device which includes an input tray and a paper feeding sensor. The method detects whether there are papers on the input tray in step one. If there are papers, step two is executed. Otherwise, the method ends and an error is reported. In step two, papers are separated and fed. Whether the papers contact the paper feeding sensor is detected in step three. The method executes step four if the papers contact the paper feeding sensor, and ends the method with an error message otherwise. In step four, the method scans and detects whether an image of a fed edge of each of the papers is abnormal. If the image is abnormal, the method ends and an error is reported. Otherwise, scanning continues.

Coordination of capture and movement of media

A described example system may include a connection engine, a capture engine, and a command engine. In that example, the connection engine wirelessly connects to an imaging device having a media location for placing media; the capture engine captures an image of media at the media location; and the command engine coordinates movement of the media in response to a capture operation or in preparation to perform the capture operation. In another example, an imaging device includes a media tray, a pick, a processor resource, and a memory resource having executable instructions that cause coordination of the pick to, in response to an indication that a sheet of media is captured from a capture device, generate movement of the sheet of media away from the media tray or movement the sheet of media on to the media tray.

IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

An image forming apparatus includes a document conveyance portion, an image reading portion that performs feed reading-in in which a document as conveyed is read or table reading-in in which a document on a table is read, a job execution portion that, based on image data, performs a job, an operation panel that accepts setting of a destination, and a control portion. In a continuous read-in mode, the control portion performs control so that reading-in of a document as placed is continuously performed until an input to end reading-in is made. When an automatic continuous read-in condition is satisfied, the control portion performs control so that the image reading portion and the job execution portion automatically operate in the continuous read-in mode. The automatic continuous read-in condition is that table reading-in has been started in a state where a destination corresponding to a particular transmission method is set.

An image forming apparatus includes a storage section that stores a medium setting including information representing a printing area on a printing medium, a printing section that performs printing on the printing medium based on the medium setting stored in the storage section, a determining section that determines whether a first medium setting included in a print job sent from an information processing apparatus and including information representing a printing area on a printing medium differs from a second medium setting stored as the medium setting in the storage section, and a controller that changes the medium setting stored in the storage section from the second medium setting to the first medium setting, when the determining section determines that the first medium setting differs from the second medium setting.

Image reading apparatus that starts scanning based on detection of original and control method thereof

An image reading apparatus includes a scanner, a sensor, and a controller. The sensor is configured to detect an original at a predetermined position. The controller is configured to determine whether or not an immediate execution mode in which no user operation is needed to cause the scanner to start scanning is set, and in case the immediate execution mode is determined to be set, determine whether or not a scan start condition is satisfied. The scan start condition includes the sensor detecting the original at the predetermined position. The controller is configured to control the scanner to start scanning, upon a standby time of a predetermined amount being passed since the scan start condition is satisfied.

Copy and scan printing may include scanning, by scanner disposed along a paper path between a paper delivery roller and a paper pickup roller, content of documents (302). Further, copy and scan printing may include determining whether the documents are to be copied (304), in response to a determination that the documents are to be copied, determining whether a page count of the documents to be copied is available (306), and generating copies of the documents (310).

A sheet feeding device includes a stacking tray for stacking a sheet; a sheet detector for detecting presence/absence of the sheet on the stacking tray; a feeder for feeding the sheet detected by the sheet detector; an LED, provided adjacent to the sheet stacked on the stacking tray, for emitting light; a display, provided substantially in parallel with an optical axis of the LED, for being illuminated by the light emitted from the LED; a reflector, provided opposed to the display portion, for reflecting and scattering the light emitted by the LED, toward the display; and a controller for controlling emission of the light of the LED on the basis of a signal outputted by the sheet detector.

Image reading device that reads an image of a document
11330126 · 2022-05-10 · ·

An image reading device includes a tray having a document, first and second rollers, a reading unit to read a document image of the conveyed document at a reading position, and a controller to selectively execute first and second controls. In the first control, the controller changes a drive speed of the first and second rollers from a first to a second speed faster than the first speed after the document reaches the first roller and before the document passes through the reading position, and changes the first and second rollers drive speed from the second to the first speed after the document reaches the second roller and before the image is completely read. In the second control, the controller maintains the first and second rollers drive speed in a section from a position where the document reaches the first roller to a position where the image reading completes.

IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AUTOMATIC COPY METHOD AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM ENCODED WITH AUTOMATIC COPY PROGRAM
20220124210 · 2022-04-21 · ·

An image forming apparatus includes a document tray in which a document is to be set, a medium container that contains a recording medium, a document detection sensor that detects a document set in the document tray, a medium detection sensor that detects a recording medium contained in the medium container. A hardware processor executes a copy operation of forming an image obtained by scanning a document set in the document tray on a recording medium, determines to automatically execute the copy operation in case an elapsed period of time between a document detection time when a document is detected by the document detection sensor and a medium detection time when a recording medium is detected by the medium detection sensor is equal to or smaller than a predetermined operation period of time, and automatically executes the copy operation based on determination of automatic execution of the copy operation.

IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

An image forming apparatus (1) includes an image forming section (6), a plurality of recording paper trays (7a to 7n), storage (5), and a paper feed stage selecting section (12). The image forming section (6) performs advanced printing based on a paper profile. The paper feed stage selecting section (12) selects a recording paper tray (7) from the recording paper trays (7a to 7n) from which recording paper is to be fed to the image forming section (6) based on a printing instruction. When a specific paper profile is not associated with the selected recording paper tray (7), the paper feed stage selecting section (12) notifies the image forming section (6) of a manual setting and causes the image forming section (6) to perform simple printing.
