A multi-hinged tri-folding garment hanger is disclosed. In one embodiment, a garment hanger includes a central frame embodying a first arm and a second arm toward each end configured to support corresponding shoulder portions of a garment in an open state of the garment hanger. In addition, the garment hanger includes four vertical members to connect the top elements to the corresponding bottom elements of the central frame. The central frame further includes a first double hinge joint on a top portion and a second double hinge joint on a bottom portion toward each of the first end and second end around which correspondingly the arms are capable of folding back onto the central frame toward a center thereof to a folded state. A hook member pivotably attached to the top portion of the central frame may be retractably folded to a most compact state without removal of the garment.

A folding guide hanger for folding clothing includes a first folding guide half having a first front face, a first rear face, a first top face, a first bottom face, a first left face, and a first right face. A hanger hook is coupled to the first folding guide half. A second folding guide half has a second front face, a second rear face, a second top face, a second bottom face, a second left face, and a second right face. A hinge is coupled between the first right face and the second left face. The second folding guide half has an extended position and an alternate folded position. The first folding guide half and the second folding guide half assist in folding an article of clothing and also serve as a clothes hanger.

Articulated hanger mechanism

A wardrobe includes a rear wall, a sidewall, and a door pivotally attached to the sidewall defining an enclosure. An articulating hanger mechanism includes a support arm pivotally attached to the sidewall, and a link device pivotally attached to the door and to the support arm. Hanger arms pivotally attached to the support arm have stowed positions at which they extend along two opposite sides of the support arm. Coupling links are pivotally attached to the hanger arms for pivoting the hanger arms from the stowed positions to deployed positions at which the hanger arms extend outward from the support arm to support a garment. Upon user action pivoting the door from the closed position, the link device automatically pivots the support arm outward from the enclosure and the coupling links pivot the hanger arms from the stowed positions to the deployed positions.

A carrier apparatus for supporting a garment includes a hanger having first and second arm elements that project radially outwardly from a central hanging axis and which are connected by a hinged coupling which allows the first and second arm elements to be folded around said central axis or axes parallel to said central hanging axis to thereby substantially overlie one another.

A folding hanger includes a hook extending from an upper end of a hinge pin for suspending the pin. First and second hanger arms each have proximal and distal ends and define a support surface therebetween. Each proximal end has a stop. A knuckle having a hole extends from each proximal end. The pin passes through the holes along an axis, coupling the arms and hook whereby the arms are movable between extended and folded configurations. The stops abut when the arms are extended, and are separated when folded. The hanger has a center of gravity when the arms are extended and suspended by the hook such that the axis is angled relative to vertical in a first direction and the stops bias abutting. The arms each have a center of gravity such that angular movement of the axis past an unstable equilibrium causes the arms to move toward folded.

Garment Packing System

A garment packing system that is comprised of three design configurations of a folding garment hanger that allows a garment to be placed on the banger and the hanger along with the garment to be folded. Once a hanger and garment are folded, they can be secured to a structural element within a luggage interior. If desired, multiple hangers with garments can be stacked and secured together. The stacked hanger with garments can then be secured as a single unitary configuration within a luggage interior.

Collapsible hanger for use in-garment to reduce creasing, crushing, and wrinkling, while maintaining support and structure, of upper garment during storage and transportation

A collapsible hanger includes a left arm, a right arm, and a hook. A hinge rotatably holds the left and right arms together. When in expanded state, the left and right arms extend opposite each other. When in collapsed state, the arms are rotated adjacent to each other. The hook is rotatably coupled to one of the arms in a ball and socket arrangement, and rotatable around the ball and socket arrangement between first and second positions. In the first position, the hook curved end is located above a top side of the respective arm. In the second position, the hook curved end is rotated into an opening and recess in the respective arm. A pin holding the hinge together includes a curved end portion overhanging an outer surface of the hinge to form a clasp to hold a collar of a garment.
