The disclosure discloses methods and systems for handling content of a document based on one or more identifiers. The method includes receiving the document having content marked using one or more starting identifiers and corresponding one or more ending identifiers, the content marked between each starting identifier and corresponding ending identifier indicates content for one of: extraction, deletion, replacement and sharing, the content in the document is marked using braille symbols. The content is marked using an erasable marking device without affecting the document. A selection of a function to be performed on the marked content is received. The document is scanned to generate a scanned document. The scanned document is analyzed to identify the one or more starting identifiers and the one or more ending identifiers. Based on the selection of the function to be performed on the marked content, perform one of: extraction, deletion, replacement and sharing.

An image reading apparatus, having a reader device, a user interface, a communication interface, and a controller, is provided. The controller accepts entry of first receiver-identifying information, in response to entry of a first scan command through the user interface, controls the reader device to read an image of an original material, and stores image data for the read image in relation with the first receiver-identifying information in a predetermined memory area. In response to receiving of a second scan command including second receiver-identifying information that corresponds to the first receiver-identifying information by identifying the same receiver from an information processing apparatus by use of a specific protocol, the controller reads out the image data stored in relation with the first receiver-identifying information corresponding to the second receiver-identifying information included in the second scan command from the predetermined memory area, and transmits the image data to the information processing apparatus.

An image reading apparatus includes a scanner, a sensor, and a controller. The sensor is configured to detect an original at a predetermined position. An image processing apparatus according to an embodiment by the present disclosure includes a storage unit for storing a reading size, an identifying unit for identifying the reading size using a sensor, a reading unit for reading an image of a document, and a setting unit for setting the identifying unit to identify the reading size. In case of the identifying unit identifying the size of the document in a state where the setting unit sets the identifying unit to identify the reading size, the reading unit reads the image of the document based on the size identified by the identifying unit. In case of the identifying unit not identifying the size of the document in the state where the setting unit sets the identifying unit to identify the reading size, the reading unit reads the image of the document based on the size stored in the storage unit.

An image forming apparatus includes a memory including instructions, and at least one processor for executing the instruction to cause the image forming apparatus to act as a generation unit to perform image processing so as to generate image data including pieces of page data based on a print job, a determination unit to determine whether a piece of page data corresponding to a sheet passing a predetermined location of a conveyance path is prepared in time, and a control unit to perform, in a case where the piece of page data is not prepared in time, control to leave the sheet as a blank sheet by not performing image processing. The control unit changes a page order, determined in advance, of pages to be printed following the blank sheet in a case where it is determined the piece of page data is not prepared in time.

The invention provides an image-forming apparatus that includes a printer that performs printing, and a controller that determines, on a basis of settings related to a print job, whether to execute the print job as a print job related to test printing or execute the print job as a normal print job, and causes the printer to perform printing, in which the settings related to the print job include a plurality of items, and one or more combinations of a setting of another item with respect to a setting of one item are set as recommended settings, and, when the print job includes a setting of the another item other than the recommended settings with respect to the setting of the one item, the controller determines that the print job is a print job related to test printing.

An image forming apparatus includes a document reading unit reading an image of a document and generating scan data of the document and a printing unit printing on a sheet the scan data generated by the document reading unit, and is configured to be able to feed the sheet subjected to printing by the printing unit to a post-processing device. The image forming apparatus includes a judging unit that judges whether an image of a post-processing mark which is composed of a staple mark or a punching hole is present in the scan data generated by the document reading unit, and a printing control unit that, when the judging unit judges that the image of the post-processing mark is present in the scan data, generates corrected data by deleting the image of the post-processing mark from the scan data and causes the printing unit to print the corrected data.
