LIGHTING APPARATUS AND IMAGE READING APPARATUS

A lighting apparatus includes a first illumination portion and a second illumination portion. The first illumination portion and the second illumination portion respectively include a bar-like light guide whose shape of an end face of an end portion includes a part of a circle, an ellipse or a parabola, and light source elements that are provided to face the end face of the end portion of the light guide. In the light guide of the second illumination portion, light enters a determined range in which a focus of the shape of the end face of the end portion of the light guide is included. In the light guide of the first illumination portion, light enters a range that is not the determined range in which the focus of the shape of the end face of the light guide is included.

LIGHT SCANNING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

A light scanning apparatus, including: a first division unit configured to divide light emitted from a light source into a first and a second light beams; a deflection unit configured to deflect the first and second light beams to scan a first and a second scanned surfaces; a detection unit configured to detect the second light beam; a control unit configured to control, based on a detection result of the second light beam detected by the detection unit, a timing of the first light beam and a timing of the second light beam; and a second division unit configured to divide the first light beam into a third light beam and a fourth light beam and to guide the fourth light beam to the detection unit to control light intensity of the light source based on a detection result of the fourth light beam detected by the detection unit.

A light guide includes a plurality of boss portions. A round hole portion is provided near the center of a base member for fixing the light guide, and slit portions are provided on both ends thereof. The round hole portion supports one boss portion in both the longitudinal direction and the lateral direction of the light guide. The slit portions support boss portions in the lateral direction of the light guide, but are free in the longitudinal direction of the light guide. That is, the center of the light guide is fixed from both directions, and thus both ends of the light guides can expand away in the longitudinal direction. This cuts the influence of expansion by half.

An image-forming apparatus includes image-forming units configured to respectively form images of different colors; an interface for use in instructing the image-forming units to form a test image; and a controller configured to: control the image-forming units to form a first test image including image regions of the colors, the first test image being used for correcting density unevenness in a first direction; and control the image-forming units to form a second test image including image regions of the colors, the second test image being used for correcting density unevenness in a second direction. In a case where the interface receives an instruction to form both of the first test image and the second test image, the controller is configured to control the image-forming units to form the first test image and then form the second test image.

Image sensor unit, image reading apparatus, and image forming apparatus

In an image sensor unit, a frame includes a light blocking portion that protrudes toward one surface of a circuit board at a position between a light source and an image sensor. On the one surface of the circuit board, a conductive portion that continuously overlaps with external lines of the light blocking portion in a sub-scan direction in a view of the circuit board in a direction orthogonal to the one surface is formed.
