BELT TENSIONING SYSTEM
A belt tensioning system is described, which comprises: a housing pivotable about a pivot point; a pulley supported by said housing, said pulley to rotate a belt and said pulley rotatable about an axis of rotation; a motor to drive the pulley; and a biasing element coupled to said housing and to apply a tension to said belt via said housing and said pulley; wherein operation of said motor to effect rotation of said pulley about said axis of rotation: in a first direction effects pivoting of said housing in a direction about said pivot point, which pivoting movement, in combination with said biasing element, effects translational movement of said axis of rotation of said pulley in a first translational direction to a first axis position to alter said tension in said belt; and in a second direction effects pivoting of said housing in an opposite direction about said pivot point, which pivoting movement, in combination with said biasing element, effects translational movement of said axis of rotation of said pulley in a second translational direction to a second axis position to alter said tension in said belt.
LENS MIRROR ARRAY AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
In accordance with an embodiment, a lens mirror array includes a plurality of optical elements integrally connected in a first direction. Each optical element includes an incident side lens surface through which light enters the optical element, a ridge located at an edge of the incident side lens surface, a reflection surface on which light incident on the incident side lens surface is reflected, an exit side lens surface through which light reflected by the reflection surface exits the optical element, and a groove surrounding the reflection surface except for a portion adjacent to the ridge, the portion adjacent to the ridge connecting to an adjacent optical element in the plurality of optical elements.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM STORING CONTROL PROGRAM FOR IMAGE READING APPARATUS, AND CONTROL METHOD OF IMAGE READING APPARATUS
An image reading apparatus includes a main body that performs a scanning operation of sequentially reading a plurality of documents by a reading section that reads the plurality of documents and a document transport section that transports the plurality of documents to the reading section. The main body has a plurality of postures with different inclinations. The image reading apparatus includes a posture acquisition section that acquires posture information indicating the posture of the main body, and a controller that controls an operation of the document transport section. The controller interrupts the scanning operation when the posture indicated by the posture information is changed from a start of the scanning operation during the scanning operation.
Printing apparatus
An object of the present invention is to provide a printing apparatus including a scanner unit openable and closable with respect to a printer body unit for simultaneously achieving smooth opening/closing movement and the downsizing of the apparatus. The printing apparatus includes a first gear member provided in the printer body unit and a second gear member which is attached to the scanner unit so as to be swingable with respect to the scanner unit and which is in mesh with the first gear member. When the scanner unit opens or closes with respect to the printer body unit, the second gear member swings with respect to the scanner unit while retaining a meshing state with the first gear member.
Image reader
An image reader wherein a controller executes: a start process of starting a reading operation; a head edge detection process of detecting a document width; a first side edge detection process of detecting a side edge until an occurrence of a first change from a side edge detecting state to a side edge non-detecting state; a calculation process of calculating a continuation distance based on the document width; a second side edge detection process of detecting the side edge until an occurrence of a second change from the non-detecting state to the detecting state; a third side edge detection process of detecting the side edge until an occurrence of the first change; and an end process of ending the reading operation when the second change does not occur in a continuation range in the second detection process or when the first change occurs in the third detection process.
