Image reading apparatus and image forming apparatus
An image reading apparatus includes a rotatable feeding member, an image portion, a feeding guide, a first driven rolling member, and a second driven rolling member. The first driven rolling member and a second driven rolling member provided downstream of the first driven rolling member with respect to a sheet feeding direction are provided in overlapping directions as seen in an axial direction of the rotatable feeding member and are provided in non-overlapping directions as seen in the sheet feeding direction.
Portable scanner
A portable scanner includes a housing, a transmitting path, a scanning unit and a transmission module. The transmitting path longitudinally penetrates through two opposite sides of the housing. One side of the transmitting path forms a first channel, and the other side of the transmitting path forms a second channel. The scanning unit is arranged in the transmitting path and partially projects into the first channel. The transmission module is arranged in the transmitting path and partially projects into the first channel. The transmission module is in contact with the scanning unit. The transmission module includes a transmission roller. The scanning unit and the transmission roller are disposed to two facing sides of the transmitting path along an up-down direction. The scanning unit is disposed on and contacts with the transmission roller in the transmitting path.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS FOR DETECTING END PORTION OF FRONT END OR REAR END OF MEDIUM
An image reading apparatus includes an imaging device to image a medium, and a processor to detect a plurality of edge pixels in a sub-scanning direction based on gradation values of a plurality of pixels of which positions in a main scanning direction are mutually the same and a distance between pixels in the sub-scanning direction is within a predetermined range in an input image acquired by imaging the medium by the imaging device, detect an end portion in the main scanning direction of a front end or a rear end of the medium based on a positional relationship between the detected plurality of edge pixels in the sub-scanning direction, and output information relating to the detected end portion.
Image reading apparatus and original transporting method
A first transport roller that is positioned upstream of a reading member and that applies sending force to an original, a second transport roller that is positioned downstream of the reading member and that applies sending force to the original. A first transporting mode is included in a plurality of transporting modes executable by a control member. The first transporting mode includes a period in which a largest set velocity value in transporting the original while in a first state in which reading is performed while the original receives sending force from, among the first transport roller and the second transport roller, the first transport roller alone is set higher than a largest set velocity value in transporting the original while in a second state in which reading is performed while the original receives sending force from both the first transport roller and the second transport roller.
DOCUMENT FEED DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME
In a document feed device, in at least either one of a pair of first upstream conveyance rollers and a pair of first downstream conveyance rollers, at least a driven roller includes a plurality of driven rollers provided in a rotation axis direction, a first pressure load of a central driven roller against a drive roller is larger than a second pressure load of both-side driven rollers against drive rollers, and the second pressure load of the both-side driven rollers against the drive rollers is smaller than a third pressure load of a driven roller against a drive roller in a pair of second conveyance rollers other than the pair of first upstream conveyance rollers and the pair of first downstream conveyance rollers among a plurality of pairs of conveyance rollers.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS CAPABLE OF READING SHEET BEING CONVEYED
An image forming apparatus includes a line sensor capable of reading a sheet being conveyed. A signal processing circuit generates, based on respective analog picture signals of pixels and in order of sequence of the pixels, detection signals each indicating whether or not a reflecting object has been read. A first counting circuit measures a duration time which is a time during which the detection signals maintain a level indicating that the reflecting object has been read. When the duration time reaches or exceeds a first specified time, the first counting circuit changes a level of a first detection result signal to a level indicating necessity of cleaning. A unit control circuit determines, based on the level of the first detection result signal, whether or not cleaning is necessary.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
An image reading apparatus includes a first roller pair forming a first nip portion, a second roller pair forming second nip portions, an image information reading unit, and a sheet detecting unit. The second roller pair includes a recessed portion formed between the second nip portions of the second roller pair with respect to a rotational axis direction. The sheet detecting unit is provided so that at least a part thereof enters the recessed portion. The first roller pair forms the first nip portion so as to nip a sheet in a region overlapping with the recessed portion with respect to the rotational axis direction and to deliver the sheet, nipped in the first nip portion, to the second nip portions.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS
An image reading apparatus includes a document tray on which a document is stacked; a conveyance unit configured to convey the document stacked on the document tray; a reader configured to read the image of the document conveyed by the conveyance unit using a sensor. The sensor includes a first light receiving element row having a plurality of light receiving elements, which receives light of a first color, arranged in a main scanning direction; and a second light receiving element row having a plurality of light receiving elements, which receives light of a second color, arranged in the main scanning direction, wherein the first light receiving element row and the second light receiving element row are arranged in a sub-scanning direction orthogonal to the main scanning direction. The image reading apparatus further includes a setting unit and a determination unit.
