Multifunction peripheral with exterior member different from input unit
A multifunction peripheral includes an exterior member that corresponds to an exterior portion of the multifunction peripheral and that differs from an input unit that inputs an instruction for a program, a reception unit that receives an instruction for performing a process that involves an operation of the exterior member, and a notification unit that notifies a user of a position on the exterior member to be operated by the user of the multifunction peripheral when the process is performed in a case where the reception unit receives the instruction for performance.
Mobile terminal for capturing image and control method thereof
Provided is a mobile terminal including a camera, a display, and a controller. The controller is configured to display, on the display, an image identified by the camera, receive a touch input moving from a start position on the display, and capture the image, identified by the camera, based on a distance from a reference location to a position of the touch input.
Restoring full online documents from scanned paper fragments
Searching for documents includes retrieving objects from a physical media image using a camera from a smartphone, a user selecting a subset of the objects, forming a search query based on the subset of objects, and applying the search query to a search engine to search for the documents. Retrieving objects from a media image may include waiting for a view of the camera to stabilize. Waiting for the view of the camera to stabilize may include detecting changing content of a video flow provided to the camera and/or using motion sensors of the camera to detect movement. Retrieving objects may include the smartphone identifying possible subsets of objects in the media image. The user selecting a subset of the objects may include the smartphone presenting at least some of the possible subsets to the user and the user selecting one of the possible subsets.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS AND SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE
An image reading apparatus includes a plurality of image reading chips. Each of the plurality of image reading chips includes, a pixel that includes a light receiving element which receives light and performs photoelectric conversion; a voltage boosting circuit that generates a transmission control signal for transmitting electric charges which are generated on the basis of the photoelectric conversion; and a reading circuit which generates an image signal on the basis of the electric charges which are transmitted. The voltage boosting circuit operates during a period in which the light receiving element receives the light and during a period in which the electric charges that are generated on the basis of the photoelectric conversion which is performed by the light receiving element, and stops an operation during a period in which the reading circuits of the other image reading chips output the image signals.
SEMANTIC GUIDANCE FOR 3D RECONSTRUCTION
The present invention provides a device for reconstructing a 3D model. The device includes: a camera; and a processor configured to: determine a class of a subject; capture one or more images of the subject by using the camera; extract semantic information from the images based on the determined class; update the 3D model by using the images; estimate incomplete semantic parts of the 3D model; and present semantic guidance for the user to capture the incomplete semantic parts. The present invention achieves clearly understandable guidance for reconstructing a complete 3D model.
HELMET WITH SPORTS CAMERA
A helmet with a sports camera comprises a body and a picture recording module which is detachably mounted on the body. The picture recording module includes an outer shell and a camera disposed in the outer shell. The camera is electrically connected to a control system; the control system is connected to a power module; the control system is further electrically connected to an LED indicator and an operating button; in use, through controlling the operating button, a user can take photos or record a video. Advantages of the helmet with a sports camera are summarized as follows. 1. The helmet and the camera are integrated, which facilitates the photographing of sceneries. 2. LED indicators and operation buttons on the helmet can control the start-up, shooting, or recording of the camera, and the micoUSB data interface can be used for charging, data copying, or connected to a PC camera. 3. An external vehicle-mounted display can be provided, which operates to real-time show the shot pictures or sceneries for users to browse through wireless communication technology.
INTERACTIVE KIOSK HAVING DOCUMENT READER
An interactive kiosk for reading a document, the kiosk comprising: a transparent platform for supporting a document; a first camera disposed below the transparent platform; a mirror assembly comprising at least one mirror disposed below the transparent platform, the mirror assembly being arranged to reflect light from the underside of the transparent platform to the lens of the first camera; and a control unit connected to the first camera, the control unit being configured to receive content from the first camera and extract data from a document disposed on the transparent platform.
Mobile document capture assistance using augmented reality
A method and device for aligning an image of a printed substrate using a mobile device. The method includes receiving, by an image capturing device, an image stream of a printed substrate; determining, by a processing device operably connected to the image capturing device, a location and a geometry of the printed substrate from the image stream; displaying, on a display operably connected to the processing device, the image stream; overlaying, by the processing device, at least a first visual marker onto the printed substrate as displayed in the image stream using the location and geometry; and instructing, by the processing device, a user of the mobile device to move the mobile device to align the mobile device and the printed substrate. The device includes the various hardware components configured to perform the method of aligning.
Image Processing System, Image Processing Apparatus, and Image Processing Method That Are Configured to Output Document Obtained by Portable Terminal in Page Sequence
An image processing system includes a portable terminal and an image processing apparatus. The portable terminal includes a transmission processing unit that transmits each of the image data in units of the page of the document. The image processing apparatus includes a reception processing unit, a determination processing unit, and an output processing unit. The reception processing unit receives each of the image data in units of the page of the document transmitted from the portable terminal. The determination processing unit determines a page sequence of each of the image data in units of the page of the document based on each of the image data in units of the page of the document received by the reception processing unit. The output processing unit outputs each of the image data in units of the page of the document received by the reception processing unit in accordance with the page sequence.
Image Reading Apparatus, Image Reading Method, and Recording Medium Therefor, That Improve Quality of Image of Document Obtained by Portable Image Device
An image reading apparatus includes an imaging unit, an image data analysis unit, and an image combination unit. The imaging unit images the document image multiple times from mutually differing angles to generate a plurality of data images each representing the document image. The image data analysis unit performs matching on the plurality of data images by matching the plurality of data images, on a per-region basis in each of the plurality of images of the document represented by the plurality of data images, so as to obtain per-region brightnesses for the plurality of data images, and comparing the obtained brightnesses among the plurality of data images to select from among the plurality of data images each data image whose region is comparatively brighter. The image compositing unit uses the data images selected on the per-region basis as comparatively bright to generate a composite data image.
