IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD FOR PROCESSING PLURALITY OF PARTIAL IMAGES AND DETERMINING LAYOUT
In accordance with an embodiment, an image processing apparatus comprises an image data acquiring section configured to acquire image data of an image; a partial image acquiring section configured to acquire a plurality of partial images from each of a plurality of areas contained within the image on a basis of the image data acquired by the image data acquiring section; and a layout determination section configured to determine a layout by arranging a plurality of the partial images acquired by the partial image acquiring section.
Image reading apparatus that emits different light amounts and image forming system
An image reading apparatus includes a platen on which an original is to be placed, a scanner unit configured to emit light to the original placed on the platen and receive light reflected from the original, to thereby read an image of the original, and at least one processor configured to control the scanner unit to generate an image signal representing the image based on a result of reading the image of the original by the scanner unit, wherein, in a case in which a plurality of originals are placed on the platen, the at least one processor is configured to control the scanner unit to emit the light with a first light amount in a case where the plurality of originals are originals having a first type, and emit the light with a second light amount.

INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus comprising at least one memory and at least one processor which function as a consolidation unit that configures a setting for consolidating a plurality of sets of image data on a single sheet and a determination unit that automatically determines a position to perforate the sheet based on the setting configured by the consolidation unit.
Scanning device
Disclosed is a method and a scanning device for digital image scanning of a surface of an object. The scanning device comprising a light source for illuminating the object. The scanning device comprising a first image sensor configured for capturing a first set of images of a first region of the object, where the first region is illuminated by the light source. The scanning device comprising a second image sensor configured for capturing a second set of images of a second region of the object, where the second region is illuminated by the light source. The scanning device comprising a laser component configured for projecting laser light onto the object. The projected laser light has a shape of a cross on the object. The first image sensor and the second image sensor are configured to capture/cover an overlapping region on the object. The overlapping region comprising a part of the first region of the object and a part of the second region of the object. The laser light from the laser component is configured to be projected onto the overlapping region. The first image sensor and the second image sensor are configured for capturing a third set of images and a fourth set of images, respectively, of the object including the projected laser light on the overlapping region.
