Enhanced Image Capture
Disclosed are techniques that provide a “best” picture taken within a few seconds of the moment when a capture command is received (e.g., when the “shutter” button is pressed). In some situations, several still images are automatically (that is, without the user's input) captured. These images are compared to find a “best” image that is presented to the photographer for consideration. Video is also captured automatically and analyzed to see if there is an action scene or other motion content around the time of the capture command. If the analysis reveals anything interesting, then the video clip is presented to the photographer. The video clip may be cropped to match the still-capture scene and to remove transitory parts. Higher-precision horizon detection may be provided based on motion analysis and on pixel-data analysis.
SELECTION OF A PREFERRED IMAGE FROM MULTIPLE CAPTURED IMAGES
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for selection of a preferred image from multiple captured images. An image corresponding to a photograph time t=0 may be retrieved from a circular buffer and stored as a preferred image. Alterative images captures before and after the t=0 image may be retrieves and stored in an alternative image location. The t=0 image and preferred images may be presented to a user in a user interface. The user may select a preferred image for the photograph from among the t=0 image and the alternative images.
Method and apparatus of processing image
An image processing method and an image processing apparatus are provided. The image processing method includes acquiring information of a first region of interest (ROI) in a first frame, estimating information of a second ROI in a second frame that is received after the first frame, based on the acquired information of the first ROI, and sequentially storing, in a memory, subframes that are a portion of the second frame, each of the subframes being a line of the second frame. The image processing method further includes determining whether a portion of the stored subframes includes the second ROI, based on the estimated information of the second ROI, and based on the portion of the stored subframes being determined to include the second ROI, processing the portion of the stored subframes.
Camera system, event recording system and event recording method
To reduce complication of a configuration of a vehicle while suppressing an increase in weight of the vehicle, a camera system mounted on a vehicle includes an imaging unit to capture multiple frame images of an outside of the vehicle per cycle and an image processor to obtain the multiple frame images from the imaging unit and separate the multiple frame images into a first given number of frame images as a recognition target and a second given number of frame images as a storage target to be stored in an image recorder. The image processor separately outputs the first and second given numbers of frame images to be recognized and stored, respectively.
Image generation apparatus, image generation method, and storage media
The image generation apparatus includes: an acquisition unit configured to acquire a base image, a reference image, the respective exposure values associated with the base image and the reference image, and a pseudo-exposure value different from the respective exposure values associated with the base image and the reference image; an estimation unit configured to estimate a conversion parameter; and a generation unit configured to generate a pseudo-image regarded as an image photographed with the pseudo-exposure value by converting the luminance value of the base image for each of the pixels based on the respective exposure values associated with the base image and the reference image, the pseudo-exposure value, and the conversion parameter.

Display control device, imaging device, and display control method
A display control device includes a controller configured to perform control displaying, on a display, whether or not shooting is performed at a shooting rate slower than a predetermined shooting rate, after the shooting starts at the predetermined shooting rate.
Information processing apparatus, control method, and storage medium
An information processing apparatus that generates a file in a prescribed image file format is provided. The information processing apparatus accepts a designation of a storage condition to be satisfied by image data to be stored in the prescribed image file format, obtains image data, and generates the file such that one or more image data included in the obtained image data and satisfying the storage condition are stored in one of the prescribed image file format and such that image data included in the obtained image data and not satisfying the storage condition is not stored in the one of the prescribed image file format.
Image processing apparatus, image processing method, image providing system, and non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing image processing program
An image processing apparatus includes an image extraction image data input unit, a frame image data extraction unit, and an angle of view adjustment unit. The image extraction image data input unit accepts, in parallel with photography to acquire moving image data, image extraction image data representing a still image and acquired by photographing an event. The frame image data extraction unit extracts frame image data from the moving image data using extraction information included in the image extraction image data. The angle of view adjustment unit adjusts an angle of view to an angle of view region in an image represented by the frame image data, based on angle of view setting information included in the image extraction image data.
Imaging apparatus, electronic device, and method of transmitting image data
An imaging apparatus to be remotely controlled by an external electronic device includes: a communication unit that communicates with the electronic device; an imaging unit that captures a moving image of a subject to generate moving image data from which still image data is to be extracted; a storage unit that stores, in a recording medium, the moving image data generated by the imaging unit; and a control unit that controls an operation of the imaging apparatus. The control unit performs a process of generating the moving image data in response to a first request from the electronic device and generating the still image data by extracting at least one frame image from the moving image data stored in the recording medium, in response to a second request from the electronic device, and causes the communication unit to transmit the generated still image data to the electronic device.
