Automatically selecting images using multicontext aware ratings
The present disclosure is directed toward systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media that automatically select an image from a plurality of images based on the multi-context aware rating of the image. In particular, systems described herein can generate a plurality of probability context scores for an image. Moreover, the disclosed systems can generate a plurality of context-specific scores for an image. Utilizing each of the probability context scores and each of the corresponding context-specific scores for an image, the disclosed systems can generate a multi-context aware rating for the image. Thereafter, the disclosed systems can select an image from the plurality of images with the highest multi-context aware rating for delivery to the user. The disclosed system can utilize one or more neural networks to both generate the probability context scores for an image and to generate the context-specific scores for an image.
Enhanced image capture
Disclosed are techniques that provide a best picture taken within a few seconds of the moment when a capture command is received (e.g., when the shutter button is pressed). In some situations, several still images are automatically (that is, without the user's input) captured. These images are compared to find a best image that is presented to the photographer for consideration. Video is also captured automatically and analyzed to see if there is an action scene or other motion content around the time of the capture command. If the analysis reveals anything interesting, then the video clip is presented to the photographer. The video clip may be cropped to match the still-capture scene and to remove transitory parts. Higher-precision horizon detection may be provided based on motion analysis and on pixel-data analysis.

The electronic device includes a camera module, a sensor module, at least one processor configured to be operatively connected to the camera module and the sensor module, and a memory configured to be operatively connected to the at least one processor. The memory may be configured, when executed, to cause the at least one processor to acquire a plurality of first images having a first attribute and at least one second image having a second attribute for a designated time by controlling the camera module according to a photographing mode of the camera module determined based on at least one of illuminance detected through the sensor module and scene information detected through the camera module, extract information on an event section when the event is detected from the plurality of first images, and select and buffer at least one third image from the at least one second image according to the photographing mode, generate at least one piece of first content based on the information on the event section of the plurality of first images, and select at least one fourth image by evaluating at least some of the at least one third image, and generate at least one piece of second content based on the selected at least one fourth image.
Imaging device which obtains still images from captured video
The imaging device includes: an imaging unit that generates image data from the optical information input through an optical system unit; an image processor that performs a predetermined process to the image data; and a controller that controls the optical system unit, the imaging unit, and the image processor based on a set value relating to video capturing. The controller sets the set value to a corresponding value relating to the video capturing in each of a first and a second video mode, and automatically sets the set value in the second video mode to a value more suitable for recording a still image so that image quality of a still image in the second video mode is greater than image quality of a still image in the first video mode. The video in the second video mode is captured from start to end of a video recording.
