Provided is an information processing apparatus capable of combining the addition of a plurality of items in an original file in various forms, and outputting the file. A storage unit correlates additional content identification information for identifying additional content that is content added to the original file or content after change; additional content manager information for identifying a manager of the additional content; and add location identification information for identifying a location where the additional content is to be provided in the original file with the additional content and stores the information. A control unit provides the additional content that is extracted from a file other than the original file based on the additional content identification information, or that is acquired from the manager based on the additional content manager information to the original file based on the add location identification information, and causes the file to be outputted as the output target file.

A multi-function device (MFD) is disclosed. For example, the MFD includes a communication interface to establish a communication path with a remote server, a user interface to receive a request to create an electronic file based on a scan of a document, a processor, and a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a plurality of instructions. The instructions when executed by the processor cause the processor to scan the document to create the electronic file of the document, generate an encryption code associated with the electronic file of the document that is scanned, and transmit the electronic file to the remote server.

An analysis section for performing a predetermined image analysis processing for each of a first image and a second image generated by a performance of duplex scan by a scanner section and a receipt processing apparatus for determining an image of a front of a receipt on the basis of an analysis result of the analysis section.

An information processing apparatus includes an output unit. When pieces of additional information are extracted, the pieces of additional information being disposed in copies of an identical image and satisfying a predetermined condition, the output unit outputs data in which combined additional information is disposed in the image. The combined additional information is information in which the pieces of additional information are combined.

An image forming apparatus includes: a text extractor that analyses an image of an original document read by an image reading device and extracts a text in the original document and location information on the text in association with each other; an acquirer that acquires correspondence information in which a keyword and specification information are associated with each other; a searcher that searches the text in the original document for a target term matching the keyword; an identifier that identifies a location of the target term within the image of the original document from the location information on the text extracted by the text extractor; and an image data generator that generates image data in which an image in a mode of presentation specified by the specification information in the correspondence information acquired by the acquirer is synthesized on the location of the target term identified by the identifier.

Techniques for signer-initiated electronic document signing via an electronic signature service using a mobile or other client device are described. Example embodiments provide an electronic signature service (ESS) configured to facilitate the creation, storage, and management of documents and corresponding electronic signatures. In some embodiments, when a signer user receives a hard copy (e.g., paper) signature document, the signer may capture an image of the signature document with a camera of a mobile device. The signer can then import the captured image into the ESS for signature, storage, and/or transmission to other parties.

The present disclosure relates to user-selected metadata related to images captured by a camera of a client device. User-selected metadata may include contextual information and/or information provided by a user when the images are captured. In various implementations, a free form input may be received at a first client device of one or more client devices operated by a user. A task request may be recognized from the free form input, and it may be determined that the task request includes a request to store metadata related to one or more images captured by a camera of the first client device. The metadata may be selected based on content of the task request. The metadata may then be stored, e.g., in association with one or more images captured by the camera, in computer-readable media. The computer-readable media may be searchable by the metadata.

An image processing apparatus includes a display, a first communication interface, and a second communication interface. The image processing apparatus performs operations including transmitting, via the first communication interface, connection information for communication via the second communication interface to a communication terminal, receiving, from the communication terminal via the second communication interface, a transmission destination information to be used in a transmission function of the image processing apparatus for transmitting image data, and displaying, on the display, a screen capable of designating whether or not to use the received transmission destination information as a destination of the transmission function in accordance with having received the transmission destination information via the second communication interface.

An information processing apparatus includes a print management unit configured to allocate a plurality of print data sets to a plurality of image forming apparatuses, respectively, the plurality of print data sets being obtained by dividing one print data set; a separator data generation unit configured to generate, for each of the plurality of image forming apparatuses, print data for a separator, the print data for the separator including management information that includes information regarding a particular print data set among the plurality of print data sets and information regarding a particular image forming apparatus among the plurality of image forming apparatuses to which the particular print data set is allocated; and an output unit configured to output, for each of the plurality of image forming apparatuses, the particular print data set and the print data for the separator to the particular image forming apparatus.
