The storage device stores therein an authentication kit, a scan extension kit, and a specific information collection program. The CPU executes the authentication kit to function as an authentication unit, the scan extension kit to function as a character recognition unit, and the specific information collection program to function as a specific information collection unit. The specific information collection unit acquires information of the user for which authentication passes from a user information management system that manages the information of the user. The specific information includes a character that represents a value of a specific item indicated in a specific document as the document and that is recognized by the character recognition unit; and the information of the user acquired from the user information management system.

An image processing apparatus including a transmission function for transmitting an image sets whether to permit use of a destination not previously registered. The image processing apparatus also receives, from an external apparatus, data including at least a destination field. The image processing apparatus sets the transmission destination based on destination information included in the destination field of the received data upon a condition that a setting is set permitting use of a previously un-registered destination and does not set the transmission destination based on the destination information included in the destination field of the received data upon a condition that a setting is set prohibiting use of a previously un-registered destination.

An information processing apparatus includes an obtaining unit and a display controller. The obtaining unit obtains pieces of identification information for identifying plural target devices that cooperate with each other. The display controller controls display of a cooperative function that is executed through cooperation between the target devices identified by the pieces of identification information.

An information processing apparatus includes an obtaining unit and a display controller. The obtaining unit obtains identification information for identifying a target device to be used. The display controller controls display of a function that the target device identified by the identification information has and that is available to a target user.

A data processing apparatus includes a first limit unit, an acquisition unit, a registration unit, and a second limit unit. If user authentication has been performed for a user by using acquired account information, the first limit unit limits a service to be provided, in accordance with a use limit that is preset for each of authenticated users. The monitoring system performs processes including: demanding a user to perform predetermined authentication operation that gives rise to a change in running status of the electronic equipment; acquiring, from the electronic equipment, running information that indicates the running status of the electronic equipment, the running status having changed due to the authentication operation; detecting, on a basis of the running information, that the authentication operation has been performed in response to the demand; and permitting, upon detection, the user to access the running information acquired from the electronic equipment.

This invention provides an imaging apparatus comprising a storage storing correction values, a correction circuit which corrects captured image data based on the correction values, a first memory and a second memory, a transferring circuit which transfers the correction values in the storage to the correction circuit, a write circuit which writes the transferred correction values to either the first memory or the second memory, and a controller which controls, in a case where a transfer time of the correction values is longer than a time for image capture processing of one frame, so that, over an image capturing period of a plurality of frames, the write circuit writes new correction values to one of the first and second memory and the correction circuit corrects the captured image data using the current correction values in the other memory.

An information processing device includes: a controller that executes a job; and a storage that stores, as setting history information, a setting value related to the execution of the job, and the controller executes, after the execution of the job, determination processing on the setting value and reflects the result of determination to store the setting history information.
