METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATICALLY VERIFYING THE AUTHENTICITY OF DOCUMENTS
A method and system for automatically verifying the authenticity of documents is provided. The method has: scanning a document to be verified in the visible and ultraviolet light spectrum; detecting in the scanned document digital watermarks printed with visible and ultraviolet ink; decrypting the marks, thereby obtaining an ultraviolet mark identifier and a variable data mark identifier; validating the percentage of the mark by checking for the presence of the digital watermark in different areas of the scanned document; comparing the mark identifiers obtained with mark identifiers stored in a database; and determining the validity of the document on the basis of the comparison. The invention allows the validity of the data printed in the document to be checked automatically, reducing the possibility of the undetected falsification, modification or total or partial alteration of a document.
Encoding Dot Patterns Into Printed Images Based on Source Pixel Color
In an example method, a set of source pixels corresponding to an image to be printed and a dot pattern of pixels including information to be encoded across the image are received. The dot pattern of pixels is mapped to a corresponding subset of the source pixels. A value of a clipping channel color in the subset of the source pixels is modified based on an original value of the clipping channel color for each pixel in the subset. The clipping channel color is used to detect the dot pattern of pixels. The image including the subset of pixels with modified clipping channel colors is printed.
Image processing device, image processing method for embedding a watermark in a color image
Certainty of detecting watermarks embedded in a color image is increased. Image date acquisition means of an image processing device acquires image data on a color image having a plurality of color channels. Numerical value acquisition means acquires respective numerical values in the plurality of color channels contained in a pixel value of the color image based on the image data acquired by the image data acquisition means. Image processing means embed a watermark in each of the plurality of color channels by changing the numerical value acquired by the numerical value acquisition means.
Segmentation hiding layer for vector pattern correlation marks
A printable electronic document is received into a computerized device. The printable document contains original markings that can be printed on print media to produce a printed document. However, before printing, a computerized device adds first hidden markings to the printable electronic document. Such first hidden markings have a first vector graphic size. Further, the computerized device removes a pattern from the first hidden markings in the printable electronic document and adds (only to the removed pattern in the printable electronic document) second hidden markings that have the same vector graphic size as, but are out of phase with, the first hidden markings. Also, the computerized device adds geometrically shaped distraction markings to the printable electronic document. The geometrically shaped distraction markings have a second vector graphic size that is much larger than the first vector graphic size of the first and second hidden markings.
Detection of steganography on the perimeter
A method to detect a plurality of steganography based information embedded in a multimedia file associated with an online computer environment is provided. The method may include detecting the multimedia file entering or exiting an online environment associated with a network or an organization. The method may also include comparing a stored hashed version of the detected multimedia file to the detected version of the multimedia file. The method may also include comparing a stored perceptual hashed version of the detected multimedia file to the detected version of the multimedia file based on the detected multimedia file not matching the stored hashed version of the detected multimedia file. The method may further include assigning a flag attribute to the detected multimedia file based on the detected multimedia file matching the stored perceptual hashed version of the detected multimedia file.
IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM THAT EXTRACT FIRST INFORMATION AND SECOND INFORMATION FROM ACQUIRED IMAGE DATA AND THAT PROCESS THE FIRST INFORMATION ON THE BASIS OF THE SECOND
An image processing method includes an acquisition step of acquiring image data by capturing printed matter, wherein first information and second information, indicating a type of the first information, are embedded in the printed matter as an electronic watermark, an extraction step of extracting the first information and the second information from the image data acquired at the acquisition step, and a processing step of processing the extracted first information by different processing methods in accordance with the extracted second information. Based on that the type of the first information indicated by the second information is a predetermined type, the extracted first information is processed at the processing step, by a predetermined processing method for access to an external device using the extracted first information and display of a web page based on the access.
Verifying document security using an infrared VOID pantograph mark
To generate a security mark, a system prints first and second patterns on a first document using non-infrared absorbing colors. A print engine will receive the substrate and create a copy of the security mark onto a second document. When printing the second document the print engine may use ink of an infrared-absorbing color, such as black, to print a hidden security element of the security mark. When an infrared camera captures a digital image of the second document and the captured image is displayed, the captured image will reveal the hidden security element.
System and method of displaying watermarks
In one or more embodiments, one or more systems, methods, and/or processes may redirect a request to open a document to a background process that controls access to the document; may determine policy information associated with the document and a user of an application; may provide the document to the application; may determine an area of a user interface of the application that displays information of the document; may determine watermark information based at least on the policy information; may generate one or more watermarks based at least on the watermark information; and may display the one or more watermarks, based at least on the watermark information, on the area of the user interface of the application that displays the information of the document.
Encoding information in printed images by decreasing grayscale pixel values exceeding threshold
In an example method, a dot pattern of pixels including information to be encoded across an image is mapped to a corresponding subset of the grayscale source pixels corresponding to the image to be printed. A value of a grayscale pixel in the subset of the grayscale source pixels is modified based on based on a predetermined threshold pixel value. The value of the grayscale pixel is decreased in response to detecting that the predetermined threshold pixel value is exceeded. The clipping channel color is used to detect the dot pattern of pixels. The image including the subset of pixels with modified values is printed.
Method and apparatus for digital watermarking of three dimensional object
In one embodiment, a method for 3D digital watermarking for a triangular mesh using one or more key parameters is disclosed including forming a Hamiltonian path of a desired length around a selected vertex in a selected direction of a spiral; marking the selected vertex a dead end if there is a deadlock and continuing the spiral; and applying a watermark by introducing points in a path order on edges of the spiral, wherein information is encoded at a partition of adjacent triangles at one or more of the points.
