The present image forming apparatus comprises: an input unit for receiving a scanning option; a communication unit for transmitting the received scanning option to another image forming apparatus; a scanning unit for scanning a first document according to the scanning option and generating first scanned data; and a control unit for receiving second scanned data in which a second document is scanned according to the scanning option in another image forming apparatus, and combining the first scanned data and the second scanned data.

A server, system, and method are disclosed for ensuring uniform level of color of distributed print jobs, wherein each of the plurality of printers is configured to conduct color validation and/or color calibration based on a first criterion. The server having a processor configured to: receive, from a client computer, a request relating to a print job; determine whether the received print job is a split job, which can be split amongst the plurality of the printers; filter at least two printers each having an in-line spectrophotometer from the plurality of printers; and instruct to the each filtered at least two printers so that color validation and/or color calibration is performed based on a second criterion by using the in-line spectrophotometer, wherein the second criterion causes color validation and/or color calibration at each of the each filtered at least two printers to be performed earlier than the first criterion.

An information processing system includes a storage storing a first program for providing a function and a second program for executing a process for implementing the function; a storage storing, for each application for executing a sequence of processes, identification information identifying the application and information relating to the sequence of processes, the sequence-related information defining the second program for executing the process included in the sequence of processes; a unit for accepting a request from a device coupled to the system, the request including the identification information and electronic data-related information; and a process executer configured to execute the sequence of processes using electronic data based on the information included in the request, as the first program, which corresponds to the second program defined in the sequence-related information associated with the identification information included in the request, requests the second program to execute the predetermined process.

A server, a system, a method, and a computer readable medium are disclosed, which includes a server which is configured to be connected to a plurality of printers, each of the plurality of printers configured to conduct color calibration based on a first criterion, and wherein the server includes a processor configured to: receive a print job; determine whether the received print job is a split job which can be split into at least two printers among the plurality of the printers; and instruct, in response to receiving the split job, to the at least two printers that color calibration is conducted based on a second criterion, wherein the second criterion causes color calibration at each of the at least two printer to be performed earlier than the first criterion.

According to an embodiment, an image forming apparatus includes a processing receiving unit, and a function module. The processing receiving unit receives image data processing of an option function from an own apparatus or another apparatus, and instructs a control unit to execute the image data processing. The function module achieves the option function.
