A document reading device includes an image reading part, a document conveying part, an operation display part including a display device and receiving operation input, a double feed detecting part detecting double feed of a conveyed document, and a controlling part. In conveyance reading for documents, when double feed is detected from a double feed document, the controlling part stops the conveyance reading for a following document following to the double feed document. In re-reading for the double feed document, the controlling part displays, on the display device, urging to place the double feed document onto the document conveying part and sets a double feed detection function to OFF. After re-performing the conveyance reading for the double feed document, in restarting the following document, the controlling part sets the double feed detection function to ON and restarts the conveyance reading for the following document.

An image processing apparatus includes a printing unit configured to print an image on a sheet, a first sensor configured to detect a document in a reading unit, a second sensor configured to detect an error related to printing of the image by the printing unit, and a controller configured to generate a first screen for display presenting functions that can be executed by the image processing apparatus. The controller is further configured to, when the first sensor detects the document and the second sensor detects the error, generate a second screen for display indicating one or more first functions that require the reading unit but are not related to the printing of the image by the printing unit.

There is configured a carrying device including a sensor for detecting presence of a medium, a carrying mechanism capable of making the transition between a carrying state capable of carrying the medium and a retreat state incapable of carrying the medium, and a processor, wherein when making the transition to a power-off state, the processor sets power off in the retreat state when the sensor detects the medium, and sets the power off in the carrying state when the sensor does not detect the medium.

According to an embodiment, an operation assistance system including an image processing apparatus and a wearable terminal is provided. The image processing apparatus includes: at least one state sensor which detects whether the image processing apparatus is in an action required status; a controller which makes a determination related to the action required status; and a communication interface circuit which performs communication related to the action required status with the wearable terminal. The wearable terminal includes: a terminal communication interface circuit; a terminal image-capturing unit; a terminal display unit; and a terminal controller. The automatic document feeder includes a multi-feed detection sensor unit, a sensor control unit, and a control board on which the sensor control unit is mounted. The multi-feed detection sensor unit includes a transmission board on which a transmission sensor and a detection circuit of a drive current of the transmission sensor are mounted, a reception board on which a reception sensor and an amplifier circuit of a reception signal of the reception sensor are mounted, and a relay board on which a drive circuit of the transmission sensor is mounted. An information processing apparatus includes: a storage unit that stores a plurality of pieces of application software; a connection control unit that establishes a communication connection to an external apparatus and collects available function information indicating at least one function included in the external apparatus; a determining unit that determines at least one piece of application software that is executable with respect to the external apparatus among the pieces of application software, based on the available function information; a display control unit that displays, on a display unit, the pieces of application software that are determined as being executable, and causes at least one piece of application software that is determined as being inexecutable to be hidden in the display unit or to be displayed on the display unit in a display mode different from a display mode of the pieces of application software that are determined as being executable.

The present invention offers a server system including a transmission unit configured to, based on error information acquired, transmitting audio notification information for causing an audio control device to audibly notify a user of information about an error occurring in a communication apparatus. Control is performed such that, in a case where a plurality of errors is occurring in the communication apparatus, based on the audio notification information transmitted, information about a first error from among the plurality of errors is audibly notified to the user by the audio control device, and information about a second error different from the first error from among the plurality of errors is not audibly notified to the user by the audio control device.

An image forming apparatus includes a CPU. When an error occurs, the CPU notifies a user or the like of the error and adds information about the error to an error table. When the error is resolved, the CPU deletes the information about the resolved error from the error table. The CPU refers to the error table and displays, on a display, a home screen in which a badge indicating the number of unresolved errors in each operation mode is displayed. An image forming apparatus includes a display and a control device. The control device functions as: a detector detecting a trouble occurred in an own apparatus; and a controller. The controller performs, with respect to a trouble-displaying image including a two-dimensional code in which a storage location on a network is converted into an image, at least one of three outputs of displaying on the display, printing on a recording sheet, and transmitting to an external apparatus. The storage location is where information indicating a method for dealing with the trouble detected by the detector is stored. Based on a predetermined first degree using at least either difficulty in solving the trouble or seriousness of the trouble as an indicator, the controller changes a display color of the two-dimensional code corresponding to the trouble so as to be different as the first degree becomes higher.
