IMAGE READING APPARATUS, IMAGE READING SYSTEM, AND IMAGE READING METHOD
An image reading apparatus is configured to be connected to an external terminal via a network. The image reading apparatus includes a transmitter, a reading section, and a controller. The controller executes an image generation process of generating a single first image file from image data of a document read by the reading section and causes the transmitter to transfer the first image file to the external terminal connected via the network. The controller executes a compression rate determination process of determining a compression rate of a second image file in the image generation process based on a transfer rate of the network when the first image file is transferred to the external terminal and a reading rate of the reading section.
Remote management system for remotely managing image forming apparatus
A remote management system includes: a user operation server; a remote maintenance server; and a connection server, the user operation server, the remote maintenance server, and the connection server being connected to each other via a network, the remote maintenance server including a processor that operates as a setting change receiving unit that receives a setting value change instruction for an image forming apparatus from a user via the user operation server, a first setting change detection unit that detects a changed setting value based on the setting value change instruction, a setting change informing unit that informs an administrator and a user-in-charge of the image forming apparatus of the changed setting value, and a setting change command sending unit that sends a command to change setting of the image forming apparatus to the image forming apparatus via the connection server.
Transmission apparatus and control method
A transmission apparatus includes a scanner. A first control is performed about reading of a plurality of pages of documents by using the scanner to generate image data. A second control is performed about conversion processing of the generated image data. A third control is performed about transmission of processed data on which the conversion processing is performed. The third control includes starting a session while a document is being read based on the first control, and transmitting, to an external apparatus via a network, the processed data on which conversion is already performed. Where an error occurs in the scanner in reading the documents, the third control further includes disconnecting the started session. Where the error is resolved, the third control further includes connecting the session again and transmitting, to the external apparatus via the network, processed data on which the conversion processing is performed.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus includes a money receiving device that is used for receiving money for the information processing apparatus from a user, an accepting unit configured to accept registration of a device other than the information processing apparatus, the device being a target of charging, and a setting unit configured to perform setting such that money for the registered device can be received through the money receiving device.
Communication device and method for controlling the same
A communication device includes a first holding unit which holds a disk-like first recording medium capable of storing information and a second holding unit which holds a second recording medium which is different from the first recording medium. The communication device further includes a request reception unit configured to receive a request for information indicating a recording medium which is usable by the communication device from a terminal device, and a transmission unit configured to transmit information indicating the first recording medium and information indicating the second recording medium held by the second holding unit to the terminal device when the request is received.
Computer-readable storage medium and printing system
A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing computer readable instructions that are executable by a computer in an information processing apparatus having a communication interface, through which the information processing apparatus is connected with a printer, is provided. The information processing apparatus has a first channel and a second channel configured to cause the printer to print an image based on image data. The computer readable instructions, when executed by the computer, cause the computer to conduct a first printing control to cause the printer to print the image through the first channel, determine whether image printing to print the image by the printer under the first printing control failed, based on a determination that the image printing under the first printing control failed, conduct a second printing control to cause the printer to retry the image printing based on the image data through the second channel.
Facsimile device, image forming apparatus, and display control method of facsimile device
A facsimile device performing a successive broadcast to a plurality of destinations includes a memory that stores data, a transmitting unit that transmits the stored data to the destinations by calling the destinations, a determination unit that determines whether the transmission to each of the destinations is successful or unsuccessful, a transmission result holding unit that holds a result of the transmission determined by the determination unit in association with the destination, and a transmission result display unit that displays, subsequent to an end of the transmission, the result of the transmission held by the transmission result holding unit in a display form that is different between when the transmission to the destinations is successful and when the transmission to one or more of the destinations is unsuccessful.
Information management system and information management server
Use of a replacement image forming apparatus is immediately performed. When a first system control unit of a first MFP is instructed to start backup of data stored in a first HDD and a first EEPROM, the first system control unit transmits the data to an information management server, and when a second system control unit of a second MFP is instructed to start setting, the second system control unit issues a download request including a storage capacity of the second HDD and the second EEPROM to the information management server, and a third system control unit of the information management server stores data from the first MFP in a third HDD, reads data from the third HDD according to a storage capacity of the second HDD and the second EEPROM, and transmits the data to the second MFP.
Image forming apparatus forming images based on received image data, terminal device transmitting image data to the image forming apparatus, image forming system including image forming apparatus and terminal device, and non-transitory computer readable medium
A multifunction peripheral (100) is connected to a terminal device (200) via a communication link, receives image data transmitted from the terminal device (200) and forms an image based on the image data. Further, the multifunction peripheral (100) detects the state of connection of the communication link and thereby detects whether or not communication with the terminal device (200) is interrupted. If interruption of communication is detected while image data transmitted from the terminal device is being received, the multifunction peripheral suspends the unfinished state of reception of image data.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SENDING, DELIVERY AND RECEIVING OF FAXES, INCLUDING DELIVERY OF FAXES WITH ADAPTIVE PROTOCOL SELECTION
Embodiments of a fax system with adaptive protocol selection, and methods for such a system, are disclosed herein. Embodiments of a fax system may be adapted to selectively configure the protocol (both the type of protocol or aspects of a particular protocol) used in association with the transmission or reception of a specific fax. The configuration of the protocol utilized can be based on one or more attributes associated with a sender or a destination. The fax can then be transmitted or received according to those configuration parameters.
