Embodiments of a fax system with adaptive protocol selection, and methods for such a system, are disclosed herein. Embodiments of a fax system may be adapted to selectively configure the protocol (both the type of protocol or aspects of a particular protocol) used in association with the transmission or reception of a specific fax. The configuration of the protocol utilized can be based on one or more attributes associated with a sender or a destination. The fax can then be transmitted or received according to those configuration parameters.

The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for data transmission. The methods is implemented on a data processing unit (220) of a computed tomography (CT) device, the data processing unit (220) is communicatively connected to a plurality of first communication links and at least one second communication link. The method comprises: determining, whether a first communication link group includes at least one failed communication link, the first communication link group including the plurality of first communication links; in response to determining that the first communication link group includes at least one failed communication link, selecting, from the at least one second communication link, at least one target communication link matching the at least one failed communication link; and adjusting the first communication link group to a second communication link group, and the second communication link group including at least the at least one target communication link.

A facsimile device performing a successive broadcast to a plurality of destinations includes a memory that stores data, a transmitting unit that transmits the stored data to the destinations by calling the destinations, a determination unit that determines whether the transmission to each of the destinations is successful or unsuccessful, a transmission result holding unit that holds a result of the transmission determined by the determination unit in association with the destination, and a transmission result display unit that displays, subsequent to an end of the transmission, the result of the transmission held by the transmission result holding unit in a display form that is different between when the transmission to the destinations is successful and when the transmission to one or more of the destinations is unsuccessful.

A communication device includes a first holding unit which holds a disk-like first recording medium capable of storing information and a second holding unit which holds a second recording medium which is different from the first recording medium. Examples to facilitate facsimile communication are described herein. In an example, on receiving a communication error for a call session, values of communication parameters to be used for another call session, which is subsequent to the call session for which the communication error is received, may be determined. The communication parameter may be, for instance, a transmission rate and an error correction mode (ECM). The values of the communication parameters in the subsequent call session may be determined, based on values of these parameters in a previous call session(s), i.e., the call session for which the communication error is received. Further, a communication channel may be established using the determined values of the communication parameters.

A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing computer readable instructions that are executable by a computer in an information processing apparatus having a communication interface, through which the information processing apparatus is connected with a printer, is provided. The information processing apparatus has a first channel and a second channel configured to cause the printer to print an image based on image data. The computer readable instructions, when executed by the computer, cause the computer to conduct a first printing control to cause the printer to print the image through the first channel, determine whether image printing to print the image by the printer under the first printing control failed, based on a determination that the image printing under the first printing control failed, conduct a second printing control to cause the printer to retry the image printing based on the image data through the second channel.
