IMAGE FORMING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
An image forming device includes a communicator that receives a series of image data, a timer that measures a reception time of each of the series of image data, and a storage that temporarily stores the image data received before forming an image based on the series of image data. When the communicator receives image data, and subsequently does not receive the next image data within a predetermined reception time, the controller obtains the time difference between the time of the reception end of the series of image data, and the reception time of the image data last received by the communicator, determines that the last received image data may be incomplete image data when the time difference is greater than or equal to a predetermined time, and determines whether to form an image based on the image data stored in the storage according to the determination.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USING A NON-CONTACT MEMORY TAG TO DETECT FRAUDULENT USE OF PRINTING DEVICES
A method of detecting fraudulent use of a printing device including a non-contact memory tag, including receiving a request to read the tag, receiving information from the tag, determining an installed configuration of the printing device from the information, comparing the installed configuration to a current configuration of the printing device, and in response to determining that the current configuration is not the same as the installed configuration, indicating that a violation exists.
NON-TRANSITORY STORAGE MEDIUM STORING PLURALITY OF INSTRUCTIONS READABLE BY INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND SCAN SYSTEM
A non-transitory storage medium stores a plurality of instructions readable by a computer of an information processing apparatus. The information processing apparatus comprises a communication interface for connecting to a scanner. The information processing apparatus includes a first route and a second route. When executed by the computer, the plurality of instructions cause the information processing apparatus to execute a scan control using the first route in which a read result of a document by the scanner is obtained by using the first route after receiving an execution instruction for scanning, determine whether the scan control using the first route has failed or not, and execute a scan control using the second route in which the read result of the document by the scanner is obtained by using the second route when it is determined that the scan control using the first route has failed.
System and method for using a non-contact memory tag to detect fraudulent use of printing devices
A method of detecting fraudulent use of a printing device including a non-contact memory tag, comprising receiving, by one or more computer processors, a request to read the tag, receiving, by the one or more computer processors, information from the tag, determining, by the one or more computer processors, an installed configuration of the printing device from the information, comparing, by the one or more computer processors, the installed configuration to a current configuration of the printing device, and in response to determining that the current configuration is not the same as the installed configuration, indicating, by the one or more computer processors, that a violation exists.
AUTOMATIC DOCUMENT FEEDER, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND FAULT DETECTION METHOD
The automatic document feeder includes a multi-feed detection sensor unit, a sensor control unit, and a control board on which the sensor control unit is mounted. The multi-feed detection sensor unit includes a transmission board on which a transmission sensor and a detection circuit of a drive current of the transmission sensor are mounted, a reception board on which a reception sensor and an amplifier circuit of a reception signal of the reception sensor are mounted, and a relay board on which a drive circuit of the transmission sensor is mounted. The sensor control unit stores first fault information indicating that the relay board is disconnected if the relay board is disconnected, stores second fault information indicating that the reception board is at fault if an output value of the amplifier circuit is equal to or less than a first threshold, stores third fault information indicating that the transmission board is at fault if the detection circuit does not detect the drive current, and stores fourth fault information indicating that the transmission sensor or the reception sensor is damaged if the output value of the amplifier circuit is equal to or less than a second threshold. If the fault information is stored, the sensor control unit transmits, to an image forming apparatus, an instruction signal for causing the fault information to be displayed.
Multifunction peripheral capable of properly executing a plurality of processes, method of controlling same, and storage medium
A multifunction peripheral that is capable of performing, in parallel, a plurality of processes including a scanning process on an original using a scanner section. A RAM holds image data generated by the scanner section. A scanner transfer section transfers data from the scanner section to the RAM. A transfer rate of data from the scanner section to the RAM is set by switching at least between a first transfer rate and a second transfer rate lower than the first transfer rate. In a case where a plurality of processes including the scanning process are executed in parallel, a data transfer rate is switched by switching the data transfer rate based on a user's operation performed on a console section.
Image processing apparatus and information processing method
The present disclosure relates to an image processing apparatus and an information processing method, and more particular an image processing apparatus including an acceptance unit configured to accept an operation performed on the image processing apparatus, and a controller configured to perform control such that an operation performed on the image processing apparatus is not accepted by the acceptance unit while a service associated with remote assistance is accepted based on an access from an external apparatus.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, SYSTEM, CONTROL METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY RECORDING MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus includes a first communication device, a second communication device, and circuitry. The first communication device transmits and receives the information to and from another information processing apparatus via a first communication channel. The second communication device transmits and receives the information to and from the another information processing apparatus via a second communication channel. The circuitry resets the first communication device while maintaining communication between the information processing apparatus and the another information processing apparatus via the second communication channel.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS
An information processing apparatus includes an acquisition unit, a power supply unit, and a controller. The acquisition unit acquires failure information for the information processing apparatus via a wireless communication line from a management apparatus holding failure information. The power supply unit supplies power to the acquisition unit when the main power supply is not on. The controller exerts control in such a manner that, when the acquisition unit acquires the failure information from the management apparatus in the state in which the main power supply is not on, only a subset of functions of the apparatus are activated by supplying power from the power supply unit, and a process for limiting use of a function related to the failure is performed.
Information output system and information output method
An information output system includes a main memory, a first processing circuit, a second processing circuit, an output device, and notifying circuitry. The main memory is configured to store information. The first processing circuit is configured to read the information from the main memory. The second processing circuit is configured to transfer the information read. The output device is configured to output the information transferred. The notifying circuitry is configured to notify the second processing circuit of an activation timing of the first processing circuit. The second processing circuit is configured to start to transfer the information after being notified of the activation timing of the first processing circuit or request the first processing circuit to cancel reading of the information, according to a time by which the activation timing notified is delayed from an activation timing of the second processing circuit.
