The storage unit stores a plurality of secure jobs and a plurality of authentication information associated with the secure jobs respectively. The controller is configured to: acquire first authentication information; in a case that the first authentication information matches an authentication information stored in the storage unit, cause the image processing unit to execute a secure job stored in the storage unit and associated with the authentication information; acquire second authentication information which has been inputted during an interruption of the secure job; and in a case that the second authentication information matches another authentication information, and that another secure job associated with the another authentication information is executable by the image processing unit, cause the image processing unit to execute the another secure job.

Provided is an image forming apparatus including a controller, a communicator that communicates with a management server, and an image former that forms an image. The communicator includes a first communicator and a second communicator. The controller transmits usage information of the image forming apparatus and state information of the image forming apparatus to the management server via the first communicator, and if an abnormality occurs in the first communicator, the controller transmits the usage information of the image forming apparatus or the state information of the image forming apparatus to the management server via the second communicator.

A distributed computing system for managing solutions for print device support requests includes a solution data store and a solution processing system. The system receives a support request via the user interface that includes input data and search terms that pertain to an issue with a print device. The system uses the input data and the search terms to generate a search query, and queries the solution data store using the search query to identify a list of possible solutions for the support request. The system receives a selection of the possible solutions. For each selection, the system generates a session record for the support request, correlates the possible solution associated with the selection with the input data and search terms, generates factors based on the correlation, and uses the generated factors to update fields of a solution index in the data store for the possible solution.

Techniques for transmitting information to a recipient under their control are described. A data processing system includes a device to be managed, a relay device, and a management device that receives data generated by the device to be managed via the relay device, wherein the management device includes a hardware processor that: registers the relay device and the device to be managed; prepares a first port and a second port; controls the relay device to cause the device to be managed to set the second port; and, processes the data, the relay device includes a hardware processor that: transmits the data to the first port; and causes the management device to set the second port, and the device to be managed includes a hardware processor that: registers the relay device as a first destination; registers the second port as a second destination; generates data; transmits the data to the first destination; and transmits the data to the second destination.

An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to provide an execution instruction for processing to a server that executes distributed processing, acquire a processing result of the processing, which is distributed to the server in the distributed processing, from each of servers, in a case where a predetermined condition is satisfied without acquiring the processing result for respective processing related to the distributed processing, provide a notification indicating that the processing result has not been acquired to each server that executes the distributed processing, and after the notification, among the servers that execute the distributed processing, acquire the processing result from a different server that is different from the server to which the processing, which is related to the processing result that has not been acquired in a case where the condition is satisfied, is distributed.
