The controller combines the first and second image data into combined image data corresponding to the first and second images if both the first image is at the first edge and the second image is at the second edge. The controller processes the combined image data such that a combined image corresponding to the combined image data has a predetermined size.

An image processing apparatus includes a unit that acquires image data of a target image which is a target of image processing, a unit that acquires a display image showing a target image state, and a unit that performs image processing corresponding to the target image state with respect to the image data of the target image, based on the acquired display image.

An image reading apparatus includes a document table, a first generating section, a first assigning section, a second generating section, a second assigning section, and a relating section. The first generating section generates a plurality of first image data pieces representing respective first side images of a plurality of documents. The first assigning section assigns first symbols to the respective first image data pieces based on a reference position of the document table. The second generating section generates a plurality of second image data pieces representing respective second side images of the plurality of documents. An electronic apparatus includes a reading unit, a processing unit, and a printing unit. The reading unit scans a reading target and acquires a plurality of scanned images. The processing unit performs processing to specify an aggregation target range which is a target of aggregate printing, of the plurality of scanned images, based on the plurality of scanned images. The printing unit aggregate-prints the scanned images specified as the aggregation target range, of the plurality of scanned images.

A portable terminal as an example of an imaging apparatus has an imaging unit that images a subject, a display unit that displays an image captured by the imaging unit in a live view mode, an extraction unit, a composition unit, and a display control unit. The imaging unit acquires a first image. The extraction unit extracts a part of the first image as a composition target for image composition. The composition unit composes the composition target to a second image captured by the imaging unit and different from the first image. The display control unit displays the second image, to which the composition target is composed, on the display unit in a live view mode.

The systems and methods presented here completely separate a non-user pattern from the user jobs being printed.
