Image processing apparatus, image processing method, and storage medium that perform smoothing processing for a pixel of interest by using surrounding pixels, one having a converted pixel value
An image processing apparatus includes a memory device and at least one processor to calculate, in a pixel block including a pixel of interest and a plurality of surrounding pixels, an absolute value of a difference in pixel value between the pixel of interest and a surrounding pixel, the calculating being performed for each of the surrounding pixels, to convert a pixel value of the surrounding pixel in accordance with the calculated absolute value, the converting being performed for each of the plurality of surrounding pixels, and to perform smoothing processing for the pixel of interest by using the plurality of surrounding pixels including the surrounding pixel whose pixel value is converted. The converting performs a combination of a pixel value of the pixel of interest and the pixel value of the surrounding pixel, so that as the calculated absolute value increases, a weight of the pixel of interest increases.
Method for controlling ink in an inkjet printing machine by simulating the film thickness of CMY inks
A method for inkjet printing machine color control includes color transformation of print data from first color space to process color space in a first stage using a computer transforming print data from the first to an intermediate color space while keeping special colors, and a second stage transforming corrected print data including special colors from intermediate to process color space. The computer uses print data corrected after the first stage as second stage starting values. Print data transformed into the process color space are printed. First color space corresponds to CMYK, flexographic printing or RGB color space with special colors, intermediate color space corresponds to CMYK color space with special colors, process color space corresponds to CMYK color space with additional process colors. The computer corrects CMY, not K print data or special not transformed colors, when correcting print data in the intermediate color space after the first stage.
COLOR CONVERSION PROFILE CREATION DEVICE, COLOR CONVERSION PROFILE CREATION METHOD, AND PROGRAM THEREFOR
To set a shading relationship between the plurality of shading inks having the same system color and different densities included in a plurality of kinds of inks, to perform provisional color separation processing to decide a color space value in a virtual color space in the second color system for every lattice point that defines a correspondence relationship between the first and second color spaces, to perform first processing of setting a position of the lattice point where a generation amount of the first ink at the lattice point can be maximized and an ink amount at the lattice point for a first ink which is one of light inks from a result of the provisional color separation processing, and then to perform second processing of setting an ink amount of the first ink and an ink amount of a second ink having a higher density by giving priority to a use of the first ink while maintaining a virtual color space value of the provisional color separation processing result for the first ink.
Generation of halftone parameters
A method of generating a set of halftone parameters. The method comprises assigning a first set of halftone parameters to a first location in a color space, the first location in the color space corresponding to a first color, and assigning a second set of halftone parameters to a second location in the color space, the second location in the color space corresponding to a second color. An interpolating between the first set of halftone parameters and the second set of halftone parameters is performed, based on the first location and the second location, to determine a third set of halftone parameters corresponding to a third location in the color space. The result of the interpolation is output data associating the third set of halftone parameters with a third color corresponding to the third location in the color space. The first set of halftone parameters may represent a relative area coverage of a first colorant combination and the second set of halftone parameters may represent a relative area coverage of a second colorant combination.
Color transforms for print job processing
Embodiments described herein utilize a color transform that maps input colors in print jobs to output colors of a printing system. The color transform defines colorant limits that vary based on where the input colors are represented within a color space. When a print job is processed using the color transform to generate rasterized image data, input colors in the print job are converted into output colors of the printing system where a colorant amount for printing each of the output colors is within the colorant limit defined by where its respective input color is represented in the color space.
COLOR MAPPING RESOURCES
In an example, a method includes determining a plurality of print coverage vectors, each of the print coverage vectors specifying a common amount of a selected print agent. The method may further comprise determining a colorimetry provided by each of the print coverage vectors and dividing a range of colorimetries into partitions in a colorimetric space. For each of a plurality of the partitions, the method may include determining a characteristic of each print coverage vector resulting in a colorimetry within that partition and selecting a print coverage vector for that partition based on the determination. A color mapping resource may be determined based on the selected print coverage vectors.

The system includes: a first converting module, configured to convert a color system of the first color gamut into a first converted color gamut; a second converting module, configured to convert a color system of the second color gamut into a second converted color gamut; a coordinate point mapping module, configured to calculate a coordinate point in the second converted color gamut corresponding to each coordinate point in the first converted color gamut according to a corresponding algorithm; a correspondence table generating module, configured to generate a correspondence table of the first converted color gamut and the second converted color gamut; a standard color comparison table generating module, configured to generate the standard color comparison table according to the correspondence table.
Method for creating color conversion table
The purpose of the present invention is to create a color conversion table with good gradation using a plurality of inks from a printer. Provided is a method for creating a color conversion table, the method comprising: a virtual color value determination process in which a plurality of virtual color values at a lattice point in a color conversion table in a virtual color space are determined; and an ink amount determination process in which a combination of ink amounts at the lattice point in the color conversion table is determined on the basis of a predetermined conversion coefficient and the virtual color values. At least one of the virtual color value determination process and the ink amount determination process is executed using a cubic spline function that is defined from the plurality of virtual color values or the ink amounts.
ADAPTIVE COLOR TRANSFORMATION TO AID COMPUTER VISION
System and techniques for adaptive color transformation to aid computer vision are described herein. Colors from an image are mapped into a multi-dimensional space to create a distribution of colors in the image. A line can be fit to the distribution. Here, the line includes an angle relative to a coordinate system of the multi-dimensional space. A transformation to colors can then be applied to the image based on the angle of the line. The transformation producing a reduced image where a color complexity of the original image is reduced.
