An image forming device includes an image forming unit that forms an image on a recording medium in response to an input of image data representing the image, a reading unit that reads a first image formed by the image forming device, and a second image formed by another image forming device to respectively generate a first read image and a second read image, the first image and the second image being formed based on identical image data, a discrimination unit that discriminates the first read image and the second read image from each other, and a color correction unit that performs, on the image formed by the image forming unit, a color correction that cancels out a difference in color between the first read image and the second read image.

Examples of a method and a system for configuring an imaging system are described. These examples involve obtaining a random sample of area coverage representations and grouping these by an estimated color, such as a colorimetric value. In each group a selected area coverage representation is determined with respect to one or more imaging attributes. A color gamut based on the random sample and the selected area coverage representations are used to generate a color mapping from an input color space to an area coverage representation space for use by the imaging system.

A profile adjustment method of adjusting a correspondent relation between coordinate values of an input color space and coordinate values of an output color space is a method including: storing history information indicating adjustment content of a first table defining the correspondent relation in a first profile at a private tag of the first profile; reading the history information from the private tag of the first profile; and using the read history information for at least one of readjustment of the first table and adjustment of a second table defining the correspondent relation in a second profile.

An image processing apparatus, configured to generate print data to be outputted to a printing apparatus that prints an image by ejecting preprocessing liquid and ink onto a medium, includes a color conversion unit that converts image data representing the image into an amount of the preprocessing liquid, and a type and an amount of the ink for printing the image, and a print data generation unit that generates the print data on a basis of the amount of the preprocessing liquid and the type and amount of the ink. The color conversion unit converts the image data such that, when the amount of the preprocessing liquid for printing one pixel of a first image on the medium is defined as a first preprocessing liquid amount, and the amount of the preprocessing liquid for printing one pixel of a second image on the medium is defined as a second preprocessing liquid amount, the amount of the preprocessing liquid for printing a first layered pixel, in which the one pixel of the second image is superposed on the one pixel of the first image, becomes less than a total of the first preprocessing liquid amount and the second preprocessing liquid amount.

Provided is a computer-implemented method for authenticating an identification document. The method includes determining, with at least one processor, whether image data associated with the identification document has at least one predetermined indicia. In response to determining that the image data has the at least one predetermined indicia, the method includes determining whether the at least one predetermined indicia corresponds to at least one invalidation mark on the identification document, and, in response to determining that the at least one predetermined indicia corresponds to the at least one invalidation mark, determining, that the identification document is invalid. In response to determining that the identification document is invalid, the method includes preventing or causing the prevention of at least one action from being performed. A system and computer program product for authenticating identification documents are also disclosed.

An image processing apparatus includes circuitry to receive visible image data obtained by reading of a subject with a sensor having sensitivity to visible light in a visible wavelength range and invisible image data obtained by reading of the subject with a sensor having sensitivity to invisible light in an invisible wavelength range. The circuitry generates image data for displaying, in a designated color, a portion of the visible image data corresponding to a designated region of the invisible image data. The designated region has an absorption rate equal to or higher than a predetermined absorption rate.

An image formation apparatus includes an image bearing member on which an electrostatic latent image is formed and a developing agent bearing member configured to carry a developer used to develop the electrostatic latent image formed on the image bearing member. The image formation apparatus forms an image by using the electrostatic latent image formed on the image bearing member. The image formation apparatus further includes an obtaining unit configured to obtain the information about a rotation speed of the image bearing member and a rotation speed of the developing agent bearing member; a determination unit configured to determine, according to the obtained information, a color conversion table used to transfer and record the input image data; and an image formation unit configured to convert a signal of the input image data according to the determined color conversion table and form an image with the converted signal value.

A method for creating high dynamic range (HDR) images with an HDR camera system. The method includes capturing with a camera of the HDR camera system a plurality of camera exposures. The method also includes creating a first HDR image from a first subset of the plurality of camera exposures, each exposure of the first subset having a different exposure value. The method further includes creating a second HDR image from a second subset of the plurality of camera exposures, the second subset including at least one exposure from the first subset and at least one additional exposure captured more recently than the exposures of the first subset, each exposure of the second subset having a different exposure value.

An inkjet printer forms ink dots of a first ink and ink dots of a second ink on a recording medium. The inkjet printer performs first screen processing on image data of the second ink to generate a first dot group including the ink dots of the second ink, and performs second screen processing on image data of the second ink to generate a second dot group including the ink dots of the second ink. The inkjet printer forms a first printing layer, on the recording medium, of the ink dots of the first ink and the ink dots of the first dot group, and forms a second printing layer of the ink dots of the second ink, above or below the first printing layer.

An image formation apparatus includes an image bearing member on which an electrostatic latent image is formed and a developing agent bearing member configured to carry a developer used to develop the electrostatic latent image formed on the image bearing member. The image formation apparatus forms an image by using the electrostatic latent image formed on the image bearing member. The image formation apparatus further includes an obtaining unit configured to obtain the information about a rotation speed of the image bearing member and a rotation speed of the developing agent bearing member; a determination unit configured to determine, according to the obtained information, a color conversion table used to transfer and record the input image data; and an image formation unit configured to convert a signal of the input image data according to the determined color conversion table and form an image with the converted signal value.
