Image processing apparatus with sharpness determination, information processing apparatus, and methods therefor
Determination information is obtained to determine a degradation characteristic of sharpness of an image formed by an image forming apparatus. One of a plurality of recovery processing parameters used to recover sharpness of an image is selected based on the determination information, and characteristics of the plurality of recovery processing parameters are different from each other. Recovery processing of sharpness is performed on image data using the selected recovery processing parameter. When the degradation characteristics of sharpness are visually and substantially the same, the same recovery processing parameter is selected.
Image formation apparatus and storing medium
Provided is a printing apparatus including a cassette configured to be capable of managing a stored paper-sheet by using paper-sheet size information and paper-sheet attribute data, in which an adjustment value of a print position is registered to copied paper-sheet attribute data if an event in which the adjustment value is registered to paper-sheet attribute data in which the paper-sheet size information is not set occurs.
PRINTING APPARATUS
A printing apparatus that is capable of executing, based on printing data, printing onto a first side of a printing medium and printing onto a second side, which is the back side of the first side, after the printing onto the first side is provided. A print density of a predetermined region at a rear end of the printing medium in a transporting direction at a time of printing of the first side is identified based on the printing data. Conversion data, which is a conversion coefficient to make the identified print density equal to or lower than a predetermined density, is acquired. The printing data is converted by means of the conversion data. Printing onto the first side is executed based on the converted printing data.
COLOR MAP FROM COLOR DATA COLLECTED FROM PLURALITY OF SOURCES
Color data may be collected from a plurality of sources. A plurality of color map selection fields may be indexed at a table to a plurality of color maps. The plurality of color maps may be based on the collected color data. Each entry of the table may include an identifier to match one of the plurality of color maps to at least one permutation of the color map selection fields.
LIQUID DISCHARGE CONTROL APPARATUS, LIQUID DISCHARGE CONTROL METHOD, AND LIQUID DISCHARGE CONTROL PROGRAM
In order to reduce a density difference that appears when printing whose execution number of scan operations is changed is performed, a CPU acquires a plurality of color conversion LUTs; the CPU performs printing of each of normal portions of color patches using a reference LUT and performs printing of each of hitch portions of the color patches using a corresponding one of mutually different color conversion LUTs; the CPU allows a color patch having a small density difference to be input as a selection result; the CPU identifies a color conversion LUT corresponding to the selection result; and the CPU designates the color conversion LUT corresponding to the selection result as a color conversion LUT for the hitch portion.
INK IMAGE MATTER GENERATING METHOD
Provided is an ink image matter generating method for selecting a fluorescent ink by performing (a) a process of color-measuring a target color which is a target of color reproduction on a medium and the medium on which an inkjet color ink for color reproduction of the target color is printed; (b) a process of calculating a difference between a colorimetric value of the target color and a colorimetric value of the medium on which the color ink is printed; and (c) a process of selecting a fluorescent ink for reducing the difference between the colorimetric value of the target color and the colorimetric value of the medium on which the color ink is printed, from fluorescent inks that are set in advance, and jetting droplets of the selected fluorescent ink together with the color ink, or after the droplets of the color ink are jetted to cause the fluorescent ink to exist on a surface of an ink image matter, thereby making it possible to select and use an appropriate fluorescent ink with respect to a specific color of which the color reproducibility cannot be ensured using only a color ink in inkjet printing on a medium which is a printing substrate and to ensure high color reproducibility ensuring high color reproducibility for the specific color.
LIQUID DROPLET DISCHARGING CONTROL DEVICE, LIQUID DROPLET DISCHARGING CONTROL METHOD, AND LIQUID DROPLET DISCHARGING APPARATUS
There is a provided a liquid droplet discharging control device which causes a liquid droplet discharging apparatus including a head, in which a plurality of nozzles are arranged in a predetermined direction, to perform printing and which is capable of executing a nearby compensation process in which, on the basis of a dot position on which a predetermined nozzle for black ink forms a dot, a nearby nozzle that forms a dot in the vicinity of the dot forms a dot and executing a composite compensation process. The liquid droplet discharging control device includes a parameter acquiring unit that acquires parameters corresponding to the degree of liquid spreading toward a periphery after adhesion of a liquid droplet to a medium, and a compensation switching unit that switches between execution of the nearby compensation process and execution of the composite compensation process on the basis of the parameters.
LIGHTING DEVICE AND INSPECTION DEVICE
A lighting device (23) irradiates a web under conveyance with light. The lighting device includes a light source (43), and an irradiation port (61) configured to open linearly in a widthwise direction of the web at an end portion facing the web. The irradiation port (61) is formed between first and second parallel portions (62b, 63b) where a first plate member (62) and a second plate member (63) parallelly face each other. The web under conveyance is irradiated with linear light. It is possible to provide a lighting device capable of irradiating only an inspection region of a sheet or a web with light.
Method which a user possessing a sample performs color adjustment when a sample color is outside the color reproduction range
In a case where a sample color is outside a color reproduction range of an image forming apparatus, there arises an issue that an adjustment target color cannot be brought close to a user-desired color. An image forming apparatus includes a generation unit configured to cause a printing unit to print a plurality of colors close to an acquired sample color and generate a color conversion table based on a user-selected color among the plurality of printed colors in a case where it is determined that the acquired sample color is outside a color reproduction range of the image forming apparatus, whereas in a case where it is determined that the acquired sample color is not outside the color reproduction range, the generation unit generates a color conversion table without causing the printing unit to print the plurality of colors close to the sample color.
Method of color mapping of oligochromatic patterns
A method of color mapping color values of an oligochromatic pattern comprising the following steps: determining an image-gamut, in a N-dimensional device independent color system (ND-DICS), of said oligochromatic pattern; wherein said image-gamut comprises said color values of said oligochromatic pattern; and determining a skeleton (500) of said image-gamut; and performing an adaption on said skeleton (500) in said ND-DICS by a set of N-dimensional-transforming steps (30) and determining for points of said skeleton (500), a path in said ND-DICS that corresponds to said adaption; and color mapping said color values, of said oligochromatic pattern, based on said determined paths (35) of said points of said skeleton (500).
