A system may include a server configured to detect speech data from media content and to divide the detected speech data into one or more speech data segments in accordance with at least a respective speaker and a break in the detected speech data; and a media content playing device configured to receive the speech data segments from the server, to receive, from an input device, a control signal to play the media content, and to skip forward or rewind to play the media content starting at the identified starting point corresponding to a first one of the respective speech data segments.

AUDIO TRICK MODE
Various embodiments of apparatus, systems and/or methods are described for independently controlling an audio stream relative to a video stream in audio trick mode. In one example, an audio stream and a video stream is received, where the audio stream comprises frames that correspond to corresponding frames of the video stream. The audio and video streams are played from a first time to a second time at a first speed. An input to time shift the audio stream independent of the video stream is received, and after receiving such, the audio stream is time shifted to the first time. Then, the audio stream may be replayed from the first time to the second time at a second speed different from the first speed.

Methods, systems, and media for generating a summarized video using frame rate modification are provided. In some embodiments, a method for editing a video is provided, the method comprising: receiving, using a hardware processor, a video file; identifying a plurality of frames at a playback frame rate from the video file; generating an edited video file by extracting a subset of the plurality of frames, wherein the extracted frames in the subset of the plurality of frames are separated by a predetermined length in the plurality of frames and wherein extracting the subset of the plurality frames modifies a frame rate of at least a portion of the video file to an effective frame rate; storing the edited video file; and presenting the edited video file at the playback frame rate.

The processor may be configured to determine a first output frame rate on the basis of a display refresh rate, output, through the display, first playback video data having a first playback frame rate, receive a user input which enables the first playback frame rate to change to a second playback frame rate, change, in response to the user input, the frame rate of the first playback video data to the second playback frame rate, and output, through the display, first corrected video data generated to have the first output frame rate from the first playback video data having the second playback frame rate.

From image frames including normally imaged frames imaged at a normal imaging rate, and high-rate imaged frames imaged at a rate higher than the normal imaging rate, determination is made on image frames imaged at at least one of the imaging rates to be image frames for which a displaying rate is to be changed. The displaying rate of the image frames determined to be the image frames for which the displaying rate is to be changed is adjusted within a predetermined range from a timing when the imaging rate is switched. The control unit acts on the image acquisition unit with image control means such that during a given image acquisition interval, the image sequence detected by the image acquisition unit is provided as a slow-motion image sequence to the storage unit. The same is displayed on the display unit, and can be saved in the storage unit. Thereby, the memorable nature of a celebration is further increased.

The computer program product and method identifies pedagogic media files and adds a flag to the metadata of the media file. The flag represents the number and type of pauses or silent sections in the pedagogic media file. Based on the flag, the computer program product and method may fast forward or remove a portion of the pauses and silent sections to provide a new playback speed.
