A system for facilitating package delivery or pickup at premises of senders or recipients has a package door that is used for receipt and collection of packages. The package door includes an input device for entering package information and an image capture device for visually recording the arrival of a courier. Based on the package information entered via the input device, the system determines whether the package information matches a predetermined value, such as a package tracking number. The system may automatically unlock the package door if the package information matches such predetermined value. In other embodiments, a user may remotely monitor the package information and/or information from the image capture device to determine whether to provide inputs for unlocking the package door. The system logs the package information received from the input device and the image capture device.

Mailbox comprising at least two compartments, a first compartment for receiving letters and a second compartment for receiving packages, each compartment comprising a respective access door, first locking means being provided for locking the door of the first compartment and second locking means being provided for locking the door of the second compartment, wherein the arrangement is such that the unlocking of the door of the second compartment locked by the second locking means is made by the unlocking of the door of the first compartment locked by the first locking means.

A dropbox includes an upper portion for receiving mail and/or packages. An upper door is joined to the upper portion for rotating from a closed position to an open position wherein a user places mail and/or packages in the upper portion. A shelf is disposed within the upper portion for supporting the placed mail and/or packages. The shelf is configured to rotate about a horizontal axis. A rotating mechanism is joined to the shelf and the upper door. The rotating mechanism rotates the shelf during opening and closing of the upper door. A lower portion receives the placed mail and/or packages during rotation of the shelf. A lower door is joined to the lower portion for rotating from a closed position to an open position wherein mail and/or packages in the lower portion are retrieved.

An order for consumer goods placed over the Internet can be properly packaged and connected with a delivery vehicle that may be fully automated. The delivery vehicle will transport the material item(s) to a receptacle enclosure at a delivery destination; which may be located near the buyer's residence or workplace. The receptacle enclosure may be configured to receive the material items directly from the vehicle. Whereby material items may be transported and received with less labor at any time of any day.

The present invention is a secure and environmentally friendly mailbox with components for reducing and eliminating junk or unwanted mail, as well as preventing the unauthorized tampering with or access to the mailbox. This secure and environmentally friendly mailbox comprises a stand or mount, having a top portion and a bottom portion, a base at the bottom portion of the mount, a mailbox affixed to the mount, a shredding device contained in a housing which is connected to the underside of the mailbox, a receptacle located under the housing of the shredding device, a security keypad affixed to the front of the receptacle, a series of programmable motion sensor lights affixed to the mailbox stand, and a 360-degree camera mounted on the top portion of the mailbox stand. This invention eliminates paper waste in an environmentally efficient manner while deterring tampering with or unauthorized access to the mailbox.

A delivery door extension that attaches to an existing door jamb and engages with an existing door is provided. The delivery door extension includes a panel having a planar body with opposing front and rear surfaces extending between first and second side surfaces, a top surface, and a bottom surface, wherein the panel body includes an opening. The delivery door extension also includes a delivery window body configured to move between an open position and a closed position, a hinge mechanism attached to the first side surface of the panel, a blocking mechanism on the second side surface that restricts movement of the existing door, and a frame that includes first and second portions.

A smart office mailbox system includes a box for receiving documents. A touchscreen display is located at a front portion of the box. A slot is located at the front portion of the box for receiving documents. The touchscreen display receives input and opens an access panel covering the slot when documents are to be deposited into the box.

A delivery door extension that attaches to an existing door jamb and engages with an existing door is provided. A package theft prevention system comprising a mailbox defining an irregularly shaped interior compartment for storage of received packages. The lower portion of the mailbox has an outward, distally tapering wall for anchoring to concrete it is embedded in. The uppermost opening to the mailbox has a package door biased in the closed condition, where, just downward of the package door is a self-closing trap door biased in its closed position. As the package door and the trap door are offset and open in opposing directions, removal of packages from the upper opening is frustrated while receipt by the deliverer is facilitated. A lockable rear door below the upper opening provides access to the interior compartment for the owner.
