Method for synchronizing A/V streams
A device may communicate a delay request value to downstream devices in order to synchronize A/V streams. For example, rather than adding the delay required to synchronize audio and video streams, an A/V splitter may instead communicate to downstream devices, asking them to add the amount of delay desired.
Intelligent media synchronization
Intelligent synchronization of media or other material output from multiple media devices is contemplated. The intelligence synchronization may include instructing the media devices to coordinate playback in concert with a conductor whereby the conductor acts a focal point or reference for the non-conducting media devices. The non-conductor may transmit sync messaging having data or other information sufficient to facilitate coordinating operation of the non-conductors in a manner sufficient to synchronize output of the media.
Methods and devices for distributed audio/video synchronization and playback using an A/V orchestrator
The present invention discloses methods and devices for distributed audio/video (A/V) synchronization and playback. Methods include the steps of: enabling identification of an A/V orchestrator by at least one external A/V system using a data-exchange protocol system; enabling configuration information to be available to at least one external A/V system; identifying A/V data from an A/V source to at least one external A/V system; repetitively synchronizing at least one respective system clock with an orchestra timing on the A/V orchestrator; and repetitively sending at least one synchronization notification to at least one external A/V system, wherein at least one synchronization notification is configured to: indicate a given timing in the orchestra timing during A/V playback, indicate a given position in the A/V data during A/V playback; and instruct at least one external A/V system to move to a currently-playing A/V segment in the A/V data for A/V playback.
Imaging apparatus and display control method thereof
An imaging apparatus includes: a first display panel unit for executing display toward a user side; a second display panel unit for executing display toward a subject side; an imaging processing unit for subjecting incident light from the subject side to photoelectric conversion to obtain a captured image signal; a recording processing unit for executing a recording process to a recording medium regarding the captured image signal obtained at the imaging processing unit; and a control unit for controlling the display states of the first display panel unit and the second display panel unit for each of a plurality of various types of operation periods changing along with the operation of the imaging processing unit or the recording processing unit, and executing display control wherein the first display panel unit and the second display panel unit can have different display content during at least a single operation period.
Automated creation and maintenance of video-based documentation
An approach for creation and maintenance of video-based training documentation. Universal identifiers are created and associated with user interface elements for delimiting videos and audios. Test scripts are created based on matching the universal identifiers to task instructions. Videos are created based on test scripts where the universal identifiers are marked on the videos. Audios are created based on the universal identifiers and the task instructions, where the universal identifiers are marked on the audios. The audios and the videos are combined based on synchronizing the universal identifiers.

Image capturing apparatus and image capturing method
In a high speed image capturing state, a camera signal processing circuit is not needed to perform a signal process at a high screen rate, but at a regular screen rate. In the high speed image capturing mode, raw data of 240 fps received from an image sensor 101 are recorded on a recording device 111 through a conversion processing section 201 and a recording device controlling circuit 210. Raw data that have been decimated and size-converted are supplied to a camera signal processing circuit 203 through a pre-processing circuit 202 and an image being captured is displayed on a display section 112 with a signal for which a camera process has been performed. In a reproducing state, raw data are read from the recording device 111 at a low screen rate according to a display performance of the display section 112 and the raw data that have been read are processed are processed by the pre-processing circuit 202 and the camera signal processing circuit 203 and a reproduced image is displayed by the display section 112.
Synchronization of events and audio or video content during recording and playback of multimedia content items
A computer-implemented method for simultaneously recording a media recording and an event recording includes recording a media recording, recording an event recording simultaneously with the media recording, the event recording encoding a plurality of events, an event being related to one or more user interactions with an input device associated with the media recording and recording the event recording includes for each of a plurality of events of the event recording generating data characterizing the particular event and generating a corresponding time stamp for the particular event by polling a system time of a computer device at the time the particular event takes place, the method further includes providing the data characterizing the particular event and the corresponding time stamp for storage.
Audio and video management for parallel transcoding
Disclosed are various embodiments directed to transcoding a bit stream comprising audio and video frames that contains discontinuities. The video and/or audio portion of the bit stream may be divided into segments, where some of the segments are transcoded in parallel using a plurality of transcoder devices. In some embodiments, a discontinuity is detected in the bit stream before encoding, where the discontinuity is associated with a shift in a set of time stamps associated with the bit stream. A magnitude of the discontinuity is determined. The transcoding system aligns at least a portion of the audio frames to the series of video frames according to at least the discontinuity and the magnitude of the discontinuity. In other embodiments, the discontinuity is detected after encoding by analyzing time stamps that have been established during the transcoding process.
