Method, apparatus and system for synchronizing audiovisual content with inertial measurements
A method, apparatus and system for synchronizing audiovisual content with inertial outputs for content reproduced on a mobile content device include, in response to a vibration of the mobile content device, receiving a recorded audio signal and a corresponding recorded inertial signal generated by the vibration. The recorded signals are each processed to determine a timestamp for a corresponding peak in each of the recorded signals. A time distance between the timestamp of the recorded audio signal and the timestamp of the recorded inertial signal is determine and inertial signals for content reproduced on the mobile content device are shifted by an amount of time equal to the determined time distance between the timestamp of the recorded audio signal and the timestamp of the recorded inertial signal.
Image processing apparatus, image pickup device, image processing method, and program
An image pickup device which captures sound and a moving image prevents deterioration in a reproduction quality. A scene change detector detects a frame at the time of a scene change from among a plurality of frames imaged at a predetermined frame rate as a detection frame. A frame rate converting unit converts a frame rate of the frame imaged outside a detection to a lower frame rate. A video reproduction time setting unit sets a reproduction time when reproduction is performed at the lower frame rate as a video reproduction time. An audio reproduction time setting unit sets an audio reproduction time at constant intervals for sounds recorded at constant intervals outside the detection period and sets an audio reproduction time in synchronization with the video reproduction time corresponding to the detection frame relative to sound recorded in the detection period.
Video jukebox apparatus and a method of playing music and music videos using a video jukebox apparatus
A digital jukebox (14) allows for playback of a first offering and a second offering. The contents of each offering are individually licensed for public performance at a particular location where the jukebox is found. The jukebox (14) displays advertisements that are selected in response to user interaction with the jukebox or a number of other factors. The jukebox (14) features a screen (18 and 20) that allows user to interact with the jukebox to select offerings, but also to respond to advertising. Jukebox can function in cooperation with a server (12), but in the alternate, can function as an independent and stand-alone device when connection (16) to server (12) is not available.

Apparatus, systems and methods for synchronization of multiple headsets
Media device systems and methods synchronize video content with audio content presented by a plurality of wireless audio headsets. In an exemplary embodiment, a first time delay corresponds to a first duration of time between communication of the audio content from the media device and presentation of the audio content by a first wireless audio headset. A second time delay corresponds to a second duration of time between communication of the audio content from the media device and presentation of the audio content by a second wireless audio headset, wherein the first time delay is greater than the second time delay. Video content communicated to a display is delayed by the first time delay. Audio content communicated to the second wireless audio headset is delayed by a time delay difference between the first time delay and the second time delay.

IMAGE PROCESSING
Disclosed is an image processing method and apparatus. The method comprises: acquiring a reference time code such as a Coordinated Universal Time signal; displaying, on a display (110), a value based on the reference time code; imaging, by a sensor (200), the display (110), thereby generating an image of the display (110); processing, by an image processor, the image including generating, based on the reference time code, a time-stamp for the image; and comparing the value displayed on the display (110) in the image to the time-stamp to determine a latency value. The latency value may be used to correct time-stamps of images capture by the sensor (200) and determined by the image processor.

Accessing programs using networked digital video recording devices
Access to programs using network connected digital video recording devices is disclosed. A DVR causes display of a content guide including a unit identification area. When the unit identification area is updated, the content guide also updates to reflect programs available on the currently selected DVR. The content guide of a remotely connected DVR can thus be displayed, from which programs are selected for playback. Playback can be resumed from a point at which a viewer terminated viewing, either at the local or remote location, or from the beginning of the program.
Display apparatus and control method thereof
A display apparatus including a display unit, adapted to playback a sequence of images, comprises: a detection configured to detect an attitude of the display apparatus or the display unit; a control unit configured to control the display unit to pause playback of the sequence of images, if the detected attitude of the display apparatus is not substantially aligned with the orientation of an image to be displayed.
