Apparatus and methods for embedding metadata into video stream
09681111 · 2017-06-13 · ·

Apparatus and methods for combining metadata with video into a video stream using a 32-bit aligned payload, that is computer storage efficient and human discernable. The metadata is stored in a track in a self-describing structure. Metadata track may be decoded using an identifier reference table that is substantially smaller than typical fourCC identifier tables. The combined metadata/video stream is compatible with a standard video stream convention and may be played using conventional media player applications that reads media files compliant with MP4/MOV container format. The proposed format may enable decoding of metadata during streaming, partitioning of combined video stream without loss of metadata. The proposed format and/or metadata protocol provides for temporal synchronization of metadata with video frames.

An imaging apparatus includes: a first display panel unit for executing display toward a user side; a second display panel unit for executing display toward a subject side; an imaging processing unit for subjecting incident light from the subject side to photoelectric conversion to obtain a captured image signal; a recording processing unit for executing a recording process to a recording medium regarding the captured image signal obtained at the imaging processing unit; and a control unit for controlling the display states of the first display panel unit and the second display panel unit for each of a plurality of various types of operation periods changing along with the operation of the imaging processing unit or the recording processing unit, and executing display control wherein the first display panel unit and the second display panel unit can have different display content during at least a single operation period.

Audio/video signal synchronization method and apparatus

Disclosed is an audio/video signal synchronization method which includes: acquiring a delay data value of an audio signal formed by a wireless module of an audio/video signal synchronization apparatus and a wireless audio device; according to a display format of a video data to be played, calculating playing time of each frame of the video data to be played; according to the delay data value and the playing time of each frame, calculating the number of frames to be buffered, and generating and buffering the frames with the corresponding number; and according to an audio/video playing instruction, playing the buffered frames and the video data to be played sequentially, and transmitting audio data corresponding to the video data to be played to the wireless audio device to play the audio data while playing the buffered frames. Also disclosed is an audio/video signal synchronization apparatus.

Microcomputer, system including the same, and data transfer device

A microcomputer is provided, which can load data of different areas in parallel and transfer the loaded data to a storage circuit. The microcomputer includes a CPU to control a DRIs each of which loads image data of a prescribed area out of image data inputted from a camera and transfers the image data to a memory blocks, and the DRIs each of which transfers image data of respectively different area out of the image data inputted from camera to the memory blocks. Therefore, it becomes possible to load image data of different areas in parallel and to transfer the loaded image data to the memory blocks.

Video editing

A method, an apparatus and a computer program are provided. The method comprises: causing a computing device to enter a video editing mode in which first video content, captured by a first camera in a location, is played back on a display of the computing device and included in a video edit; and causing the display to overlay at least one visual indicator on the first video content, the at least one visual indicator indicating that second video content, captured by a second camera at the location, is available for inclusion in the video edit.

Media playback component comprising playback queue and queue bypass

A media playback component includes a demultiplexer for receiving a data stream and for demultiplexing media content items provided at a first demultiplexer output and at least one type of non-media content items provided at a second demultiplexer output. The media playback component includes playback queue, a queue input of which is connected to the first demultiplexer output. A bypass input of a queue bypass is connected to the second demultiplexer output. The media playback component includes a decoder including a first decoder input connected to a queue output of the playback queue and a second decoder input connected to a bypass output of the queue bypass. The decoder is configured for decoding the media content items in accordance with commands contained within the at least one type of non-media content items. Further embodiments relate to a method for (distributed) media playback, and to a server component for distributed playback architecture for media data.

Accessing programs using networked digital video recording devices

Access to programs using network connected digital video recording devices is disclosed. A DVR causes display of a content guide including a unit identification area. When the unit identification area is updated, the content guide also updates to reflect programs available on the currently selected DVR. The content guide of a remotely connected DVR can thus be displayed, from which programs are selected for playback. Playback can be resumed from a point at which a viewer terminated viewing, either at the local or remote location, or from the beginning of the program.
