Enterprise communication display systems enable life-like images for videoconferencing and entertainment productions. Life-like images appear in a 3D environment where imaged people are visible through specially configured see-through displays. Imaged people can be viewed amongst a reflected foreground. Methods for enterprise-wide deployments for corporate, healthcare, education, theater which includes cinema and government communications, including hotel properties and a property management system are shown. Direct projection see-through screen configurations are created that eliminate unwanted secondary images in the room, conceal exposed projector lenses, reduce lens flare, makes practical multi-use room installations, images conferees among a room environment, enables touch screen interactivity, and utilizes extreme and other types of short throw projectors to reduce cost and bulk of common throw projectors. Of these transparent screens inventive configurations of substantially invisible mesh screens for both front and rear projection are described. Further, transparent LCDs are inventively configured to enable imaged life-size persons for videoconferencing in numerous configurations including with the light source removed from the LCD and placed away from the imaged persons. Further, display and camera configurations are revealed that improves the videoconferencing experience.

A campaign and marketing system for holographic communications using mobile vehicles is disclosed. Further, a consumer created camera housing process, furniture systems to accommodate ultra HD displays, and a device for viewing multiple video sources on an ultra HD display within an immersive workspace is disclosed.

Eye gaze correction

A user's eye gaze is corrected in a video of the user's face. Each of a plurality of templates comprises a different image of an eye of the user looking directly at the camera. Every frame of at least one continuous interval of the video is modified to replace each of the user's eyes with that of a respective template selected for that frame, whereby the user is perceived to be looking directly at the camera in the modified frames. Different templates are selected for different frames of the continuous interval so that the user's eyes exhibit animation throughout the continuous interval.

Eye gaze correction

A user's eye gaze is corrected in a video of the user's face. A facial tracking module is configured, in an active tracking mode, to track at least one angular coordinate of the user's face and to output a current value of the at least one angular coordinated that is within a range of possible values. Frames of the video are modified to correct the eye gaze of the user, whereby the user is perceived to be looking directly at the camera in the modified frames, only when the tracking module is in the active tracking mode and the current value is within a restricted subrange of the range of possible values for which the user's face is oriented towards the camera.

Automatic audio-video switching
09743045 · 2017-08-22 · ·

A technique is disclosed for automatic switching of a mobile device between a videoconference operating mode and a teleconference operating mode, where the automatic switching is based on a detected functional use and current position of the device in relation to a user of the device. In at least some embodiments, the disclosed technology includes a video-audio switching system that works in coordination with a sensor mechanism associated with the device to enable the automatic switching. The technology disclosed herein enables the user to carry out a conversation via the device (i.e., conference session) without interruption when transitioning between different settings, (e.g., using the device while sitting at an office to using it while on-the-go to an appointment).

Systems and methods for facilitating eye contact during video conferences

The disclosed computer-implemented method for facilitating eye contact during video conferences may include (1) detecting a video conference between a user of a computing device and a remote user of a remote computing device, (2) identifying a location on the computing device's screen where the eyes of the remote user are displayed as part of the video conference, (3) creating a video stream of the user that appears to be taken from the perspective of an imaginary camera located at the eyes of the remote user, and (4) transmitting the video stream of the user to the remote computing device of the remote user. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

ELECTRONIC DEVICE

An electronic device includes a housing including a 1st surface that faces in a 1st direction, and a 2nd surface that faces in a 2nd direction opposite to the 1st direction, a display disposed between the transparent plate and the 2nd surface of the housing, and including a 1st surface that faces in the 1st direction and a 2nd surface that faces in the 2nd direction, at least one sensor disposed between the 2nd surface of the display and the 2nd surface of the housing, a processor electrically coupled with the display and the at least one sensor, and a memory electrically coupled with the processor. The memory stores instructions and the processor is configured to execute the instructions to enable the display during 1st time periods, and disable at least a part of the display during at least a part of 2nd time periods, and enable the at least one sensor.
