ROTATABLE CONNECTORS FOR MULTIMEDIA DEVICES
The disclosed multimedia devices may include an elongated first body comprising a major longitudinal axis between a proximal end and a distal end, a second body comprising at least one electrical connector accessible from a surface of the second body, wherein the second body is configured to rotate about the major longitudinal axis of the elongated first body, and an electrical coupling configured to maintain an electrical connection between a circuit of the elongated first body and the at least one electrical connector when the second body is rotated. Various other devices, systems, and methods are also disclosed.
Imaging and display system and method
An apparatus for simultaneously recording a first live video stream and projecting a second live video stream onto an interactive touch screen, the apparatus comprising (a) a backlight panel; (b) a horizontally polarized screen associated with one face of the backlight panel; (c) a camera having a lens, the camera having controllable frame rate and exposure; and, (d) a LCD screen.
DISPLAY DEVICE AND VIDEO COMMUNICATION TERMINAL
A display device and a video communication terminal are provided. The display device includes a transparent display panel configured to display an image, a camera, configured to acquire an image of an object in front of the transparent display panel. According to the display device, the camera shooting component acquires the image of the local user at the front side of the transparent display panel through the transparent display panel. When the users are making a video call, the camera shooting component can acquire a front image of the local user's face through the transparent display panel.
ADVANCED TELEPRESENCE ENVIRONMENTS
A telepresence communication system for group meeting rooms and personal home and office systems provides improved human factor experience through substantially life size images with eye level camera placement. The system provides switched presence interfaces so that conferees can select when to transmit their images during a conference and optionally provides individual microphones for each of conferee. Switched presence between presets of conferees are viewed on multipoint windows overlaying life-size images upon eye contact camera regions and eliminate seeing camera image movement during pan, tilt and zoom operations. An ambient light rejecting filter system enables an eye level camera to be hidden behind a projection screen and provides bright, high contrast images under normal meeting room and office environments. A telepresence organizational enablement system brings all the features of a corporate office complex and its social and organizational benefits, into a virtual community eliminating the need to centralize employees.
Multi-participant live communication user interface
An electronic device is disclosed. The device can display a live video communication user interface of a live video communication application that includes participant affordances corresponding to participants. In response to detecting an input that corresponds to a request to initiate a process of starting a new live communication session, the device can: in accordance with the input corresponding to selection of the first participant affordance, initiate a process of starting a new live communication session that includes a group of three or more participants; and in accordance with the input corresponding to selection of the new session affordance, initiate a process for selecting two or more participants and start a new live communication session that includes a participant associated with the device and the selected participants.
Presentation system and presentation method
A presentation system and method for the joint display by a playback system of a monitor image and a camera image, recorded by a video camera, of a presenter, involves the monitor image and the camera image being superposed in a mixer for display by the playback system. A monitor with a display is provided in order to display the monitor image for a presenter situated in front of the monitor, a semi-transparent mirror being arranged in front of the display, and the video camera being positioned such that it detects the presenter mirrored via the semi-transparent mirror. The at least one video camera of the presentation system is an infrared camera.
COMPUTING SYSTEM
A system can include a first housing that includes a display and an adjustable camera, where the display includes a normal vector and where the adjustable camera includes an optical axis; a second housing that includes a keyboard, a processor and memory accessible to the processor; and a hinge assembly that rotatably couples the first housing and the second housing, where rotation of the first housing with respect to the second housing actuates adjustment of the adjustable camera to adjust the optical axis with respect to the normal vector.
SHARING CONTENT DURING A VIRTUAL 3D VIDEO CONFERENCE
A method for sharing content during a virtual 3D video conference, the method may include inviting multiple participants to join a virtual 3D video conference; creating a shared folder dedicated for storing shared content items, wherein the shared content is accessible during at least during the virtual 3D video conference; enabling access, to the multiple participants, to the shared folder; wherein the access is governed by one or more access control rule; and conducting the virtual 3D video conference; wherein the conducting comprises sharing at least one of the content items.
DIRECT VIEW TRANSPARENT COMMUNICATION TERMINALS
Enterprise communication display systems enable life-like images for videoconferencing and entertainment productions. Life-like images appear in a 3D environment where imaged people are visible through specially configured see-through displays. Imaged people can be viewed amongst a reflected foreground. Methods for enterprise-wide deployments for corporate, healthcare, education, theater which includes cinema and government communications, including hotel properties and a property management system are shown. Direct projection see-through screen configurations are created that eliminate unwanted secondary images in the room, conceal exposed projector lenses, reduce lens flare, makes practical multi-use room installations, images conferees among a room environment, enables touch screen interactivity, and utilizes extreme and other types of short throw projectors to reduce cost and bulk of common throw projectors. Of these transparent screens inventive configurations of substantially invisible mesh screens for both front and rear projection are described.
PREDICTING BEHAVIOR CHANGES OF A PARTICIPANT OF A 3D VIDEO CONFERENCE
A method for predicting behavior changes of a participant of a virtual three dimensional (3D) video conference, the method may include determining, for each part of multiple parts of the virtual 3D video conference, and by a first computerized unit, (a) a participant behavioral predictor to be applied by a second computerized unit during the part of the virtual 3D video conference, (b) one or more prediction inaccuracies related to the applying of the participant behavioral predictor during the part of the virtual 3D video conference, and (c) whether to generate and transmit to the second computerized unit prediction inaccuracy metadata that is indicative of at least one prediction inaccuracy that affects a representation of the participant within a virtual 3D video conference environment presented to another participant of the virtual 3D video conference during the part of the virtual 3D video conference; and generating and transmitting to the second computerized unit the prediction inaccuracy metadata, when determining to generate and transmit to the second computerized unit prediction inaccuracy metadata.
