Projection screen control method and projectioin-type display device
A projection screen control method of one embodiment of the present disclosure includes irradiating a display member with first control light, and irradiating the display member with second control light, in which the irradiating the display member with the first control light and the irradiating the display member with the second control light are performed in sequence. The display member has a visible light transmittance or a visible light reflectance that varies depending on light, and contains a photochromic material, and the first control light and the second control light have different light intensities.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A MULTI-PRIMARY WIDE GAMUT COLOR SYSTEM
Systems and methods for a multi-primary color system for display. A multi-primary color system increases the number of primary colors available in a color system and color system equipment. Increasing the number of primary colors reduces metameric errors from viewer to viewer. One embodiment of the multi-primary color system includes Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Yellow, and Magenta primaries. The systems of the present invention maintain compatibility with existing color systems and equipment and provide systems for backwards compatibility with older color systems.
OPTICAL ELEMENT UNIT, LIGHT SOURCE APPARATUS, AND PROJECTOR
An optical element unit according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes an optical element wheel that includes a heat dissipation member provided at one surface of a wheel substrate, a hosing including an outer circumferential wall that covers the outer circumference of the optical element wheel, and an opening formed at part of the outer circumferential wall, the housing capable of housing the optical element wheel, a first duct which is provided at the opening of the housing and via which the airflow generated by the optical element wheel is exhausted out of the housing, a heat exchanger which is disposed at the outlet of the first duct and to which the airflow exhausted via the outlet flows, and a second duct that guides the airflow having flowed through the heat exchanger to the heat dissipation member of the optical element wheel.
LIGHT-EMITTING DEVICE AND PROJECTOR
A light-emitting device includes a laminate provided at a substrate, a first electrode provided on an opposite side of the laminate from the substrate, and a second electrode provided on an opposite side of the first electrode from the substrate. The laminate includes a first semiconductor layer of a first conductivity type, a second semiconductor layer of a second conductivity type different from the first conductivity type, and a light-emitting layer provided between the first semiconductor layer and the second semiconductor layer. The first semiconductor layer is provided between the substrate and the light-emitting layer. The first electrode constitutes a plurality of column portions. The second electrode is coupled to the plurality of column portions. The first electrode is a transparent electrode formed of a metal oxide transmitting light generated at the light-emitting layer.

Image Projector
An image projector includes a spatial light modulator (SLM) with a two dimensional array of pixel elements controllable to modulate a property of light transmitted or reflected by the pixel elements. An illumination arrangement delivers illumination to the SLM. A collimating arrangement collimates illumination from the SLM to generate a collimated image directed to an exit stop. The illumination arrangement is configured to sequentially illuminate regions of the SLM, each corresponding to a multiple pixel elements. A controller synchronously controls the pixel elements and the illumination arrangement so as to project a collimated image with pixel intensities corresponding to a digital image.
PROJECTOR, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING PROJECTOR, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS
A method for controlling a projector including a light source, the method including identifying the state of the light source, generating a correction parameter based on the state of the light source, and correcting an image projected from the projector based on the correction parameter.
DISPLAY DEVICE AND PROJECTION TYPE DISPLAY DEVICE
A liquid crystal display element includes a pixel region which optically modulates received illumination light for each pixel. A heat sink dissipates heat of the liquid crystal display element. A first mask member is fixed to the heat sink, is formed of a material having a lower heat transfer rate than the heat sink, includes a first opening of which the size corresponds to the size of the pixel region, and masks unnecessary light. A second mask member is arranged at a position further away from the liquid crystal display element than the first mask member, is fixed to the heat sink, is formed of a material having a higher heat transfer rate than the first mask member, includes a second opening of which the size is equal to or larger than the size of the first opening, and masks the unnecessary light.
CONTROL DEVICE, AND CONTROL METHOD
An information processing device which controls one projector and another projector includes: a display unit which displays a first operation screen for managing the one projector and a second operation screen for managing the another projector; an input unit which accepts an operation on the first operation screen and the second operation screen; and a control unit which controls the one projector and the another projector, based on the operation accepted by the input unit. When the information processing device is switched from a first state where the first operation screen is operable to a second state where the second operation screen is operable, the control unit causes the second operation screen where an item corresponding to a predetermined item selected on the first operation screen in the first state is selected, to be displayed in the second state.
