PROJECTOR AND PROJECTION METHOD
A projector and a projection method are provided. The projector includes a control device, a projection optical engine, a distance sensing device, and an image capturing device. The projection optical engine projects a first projection image to a projection surface according to first image data. The distance sensing device senses multiple distance parameters of a projection area. The image capturing device captures the first projection image to obtain a first captured image. The control device performs a keystone correction operation and a leveling correction operation on the first image data. The projection optical engine projects a second projection image to the projection surface according to the corrected first image data. The control device obtains a second captured image including the second projection image through the image capturing device, and analyzes the second captured image to project current projection image size information in the second projection image.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING MULTI-LAYER HOLOGRAM PROJECTIONS
Systems and methods for generating multi-layer hologram projections are described. For example, a system generally comprises at least two projection layers in a spaced-apart arrangement; at least one layer-specific projector device associated with each of the at least two projection layers, each layer-specific projector device being configured to project one or more images on an associated projection layer; and a processor coupled to each of the at least one layer-specific projector device, the processor being configured to control each layer-specific projector device to project one or more images on the corresponding projection layer.
Image display apparatus
Apparatus comprising a projection device for projecting an image, a transparent projection screen for displaying the projected image and a secondary image surface on an opposite side of the screen to the projector device and where an undesired secondary image appears. Different arrangements for the management of the undesired secondary image are disclosed.
CONTROL DEVICE, CONTROL METHOD, PROJECTION SYSTEM, AND CONTROL PROGRAM
A control device of a projection system includes one or more projection apparatuses that project a first image including a plurality of marker images, and an imaging apparatus that captures at least a part of the first image, the control device includes a processor, and the processor is configured to perform a control of projecting a second image including a plurality of marker images from the projection apparatus based on a capturing result of at least the part of the first image by the imaging apparatus.
DISPLAY METHOD, PROJECTOR, AND PROJECTION SYSTEM
A display method includes attenuating the brightness of an image corresponding to a superimposed area of a first image when the position of a projector is a reference position based on a first attenuation coefficient specified in accordance with the position in the superimposed area, calculating displacement information on displacement of the projector based on an output signal from an inertial sensor when the position of the projector is displaced from the reference position, obtaining a corrected first attenuation coefficient by correcting the first attenuation coefficient in accordance with the displacement information, and attenuating the brightness of the image corresponding to the superimposed area of the first image based on the corrected first attenuation coefficient when the position of the projector is displaced from the reference position.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR BALANCING THE LOAD OF AN IMAGE GENERATOR
A display system defining an expected position for a user with respect to a screen having first and second segments positioned so as to never simultaneously fall at least partially within a targeted field of view when the user is at the expected position, the system comprising: an image generator paired with a first projector covering the first segment and a second projector covering the second segment, the image generator being configured to generate a first image to be projected on the first segment and a second image to be projected on the second segment; a first module for determining that the first segment falls at least partially within the targeted field of view; and a second module for controlling hardware resources of the image generator to prioritize the generation of the first image when the first segment falls at least partially within the targeted field of view.
High brightness projection systems and methods
A hybrid projector architecture combines steered light with unsteered light. In some embodiments the steered light is narrowband light and the unsteered light is broadband light. Splitting between the steered and unsteered light may be determined based on luminance level. For example, the unsteered light may contribute a large proportion of the light for luminance levels up to a threshold. The steered light may contribute an increasing proportion of the light as luminance values rise above the threshold.
PROJECTION SYSTEM AND PROJECTED IMAGE STACKING METHOD
A projection system and a projected image stacking method are provided, in the method, an individual representative position of each captured image is identified, wherein the captured images are obtained by respectively capturing an area projected by multiple projectors, and each individual representative position is related to image content projected by each projector. A common representative position is set in the area. A projection lens of each projector is shifted according to a distance difference between each individual representative position and the common representative position. In this way, the projection lens is quickly shifted, and is further applied to stacking operations. The operation of multiple projectors is as convenient as the operation of a single projector based on control of a remoter or keys of a projector control interface.
Evaluation method for image projection system, image projection system, and image projection control apparatus
An evaluation method for an image projection system in which a first projector, a second projector, and a third projector perform stack projection on a screen, the method including acquiring a first image generated by capturing the screen at a first timing, acquiring a second image generated by capturing the screen at a second timing, causing the projection state of the first projector to differ from the projection states of the second projector and the third projector at the first timing, and evaluating whether or not the first projector needs to be adjusted based on the first image and the second image.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A MULTI-PRIMARY WIDE GAMUT COLOR SYSTEM
Systems and methods for a multi-primary color system for display. A multi-primary color system increases the number of primary colors available in a color system and color system equipment. Increasing the number of primary colors reduces metameric errors from viewer to viewer. One embodiment of the multi-primary color system includes Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Yellow, and Magenta primaries. The systems of the present invention maintain compatibility with existing color systems and equipment and provide systems for backwards compatibility with older color systems.
