Projection apparatus and control method
11637997 · 2023-04-25 · ·

A projection apparatus executes a first processing and a second processing on image signal received from an external device, projects an image based on the image signal processed by an image processor, and switches an operation mode of the projection apparatus to a first mode, which is a low-latency mode for suppressing a delay in displaying an image, and a second mode, which is not the low-latency mode. The image processor maintains the first processing and stops the second processing in response that the operation mode of the projection apparatus is switched to the first mode from a state in which the operation mode is the second mode and the first processing and the second processing are executed.

A method for controlling a projector having a projection lens and a camera includes an acquisition step of acquiring a focal distance of the projection lens, a determination step of determining a size and an interval of dots configuring a projection pattern based on the focal distance, a projection step of projecting the projection pattern by the projection lens, and capturing step of capturing the projection pattern by the camera to generate a captured image.

Projection direction change device and image projection system

A projection direction change device includes a mirror that reflects light emitted from a projection lens unit of a projector, a mirror support part that rotatably supports the mirror around a first axis and a second axis, a first drive part that rotary drives the mirror around the first axis, and a second drive part that rotary drives the mirror around the second axis. An intersecting point of the first and second axes is positioned closer to the projection lens unit than a geometric barycenter of the mirror is.

VIDEO PROJECTION DEVICE

An object of the present invention is to provide a projection apparatus capable of appropriately performing control relating to rotation of a projection lens. A projection apparatus according to a first aspect of the present invention includes a housing; a power supply; a control unit; and a projection lens attached to the housing, the projection lens having a holder, a detection unit that detects a rotation state of the holder, and a locking mechanism unit that brings rotation of the holder into a locked state or an unlocked state. The locking mechanism unit does not bring rotation of the holder into the locked state when a rotation state of the holder is other than a specific state. The specific state is a rotation state in which the locking mechanism unit is capable of bringing rotation of the holder into the locked state. When rotation of the holder is not brought into the locked state, the control unit disables an operation relating to the locked state or an operation of turning off the power supply.

A projection image including a test pattern is projected on a projection surface. The projection image is moved in a first direction. An image of the projection image is captured. A change in the test pattern contained in the projection image the image of which has been captured is detected. When a change in the test pattern is detected, it is determined that the projection image has reached an end of the projection surface.
