The control unit causes the display unit to stop displaying the captured image when the image pickup apparatus captures the displayed image.
Methods and apparatus for angular and spatial modulation of light
A light projection system, including a light source to provide an output beam of light, an angular light modulator (ALM) comprising a plurality of pixels, each pixel having an ON state and an OFF state, the ALM positioned to receive output beam on the plurality of pixels, and a processor coupled to the ALM. The processor is programmed to control a first set of the pixels to transition between the OFF state and the ON state while the beam is incident on the pixels. An amount of light is selectively directed in a direction by the first set. The processor is also programmed to control a second set of the plurality of pixels to remain in the OFF state while the beam is incident on the plurality of pixels. As a result, the ALM operates as a spatial light modulator and an angular light modulator of the beam of light.

Each of the at least one driving assembly includes a coil and a Halbach array magnet structure, the coil and the Halbach array magnet structure face each other along a first direction, a width of the Halbach array magnet structure in the first direction is W1, and a width of the coil in the first direction is W2, and 0.7≤W1/W2≤2.
Direct projection multiplexed light field display
A multiplexed light field projector device and a multiplexed light field display to output a light field image is described. The projector has a projector base with a projection optical system configured to output light rays to form a projected image, a collimating optical system configured for collimation of the projected image light rays to form a second projected image, which is directed to a display optical system to produce a light field image. Light field projector devices or alternative projector devices may be used individually or in combination with one or more other projectors which can be arranged to form a multiplexed direct projection light field display. The arrangement of projector devices may have an individual or shared display optical system.
Setting assistance method and setting assistance apparatus
There is provided a setting assistance apparatus including a touch panel, which includes a display apparatus, a camera, and a processor. The processor programmed to cause the camera to capture an image of a projection image projected by a projector on a target to generate a captured image, cause the display apparatus to display the captures image, superimposes a guide image that prompts execution of the operation of setting at least one of the position or size of the projection image on the captured image, and cause the display apparatus to display the superimposed image.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR BALANCING THE LOAD OF AN IMAGE GENERATOR
A display system defining an expected position for a user with respect to a screen having first and second segments positioned so as to never simultaneously fall at least partially within a targeted field of view when the user is at the expected position, the system comprising: an image generator paired with a first projector covering the first segment and a second projector covering the second segment, the image generator being configured to generate a first image to be projected on the first segment and a second image to be projected on the second segment; a first module for determining that the first segment falls at least partially within the targeted field of view; and a second module for controlling hardware resources of the image generator to prioritize the generation of the first image when the first segment falls at least partially within the targeted field of view.
OPTICAL PATH CONTROL APPARATUS AND DISPLAY APPARATUS
An optical path control apparatus includes an oscillating part. The oscillating part has an optical part on which light is made incident, a first oscillating part for supporting the optical part, and a second oscillating part for supporting the first oscillating part in an oscillatable manner by a first shaft part and being supported on a support part in an oscillatable manner by a second shaft part. The optical path control apparatus includes a first actuator configured to oscillate the oscillating part about a first oscillation axis including the first shaft part as a support; and a second actuator configured to oscillate the oscillating part about a second oscillation axis including the second shaft part as a support. The first oscillation axis crosses the second oscillation axis. The torsional rigidity of the second shaft part is higher than the torsional rigidity of the first shaft part.
PROJECTING SYSTEM, PROJECTING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A projecting system includes an image projector that includes an optical source and that projects an image on a projected surface; and a processor. The processor obtains brightness information regarding brightness around the projected surface. The processor selects at least one item among a total luminous flux of the optical source, a color gamut of the image, and a size of the image. The processor adjusts the item that is selected based on the brightness information.
HOLOGRAPHIC DISPLAY SYSTEM FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A holographic display system for a motor vehicle includes a light source for generating a beam of coherent light and a spatial light modulator (SLM) having a two-dimensional pixel array. The two-dimensional pixel array modulates the beam of coherent light for generating a plurality of subframes, with each subframe being associated with one of a plurality of partial fields of view. The system further includes a scanner for directing the subframes onto associated sections of a display surface.
