DISPLAY METHOD
A display method includes projecting, by a projector on a first projection surface located at a first distance from the projector, a first image which represents a size of a second image to be projected on a second projection surface by the projector, the second projection surface being located at a second distance, different from the first distance, from the projector.
SELF ALIGNING IMAGER ARRAY
Implementations described herein generally relate to scanning beam display systems and more specifically, to systems and methods for improved image alignment of such scanning beam display systems. The method comprises providing a display system comprising a display screen having a plurality of display screen region each with a corresponding light engine module having a servo laser beam and an excitation laser beam, scanning the servo laser beam of a light engine module in an outer scanning region outside of the light engine module's corresponding display screen region, detecting servo laser beam feedback light to measure an alignment error of the light engine module relative to the light engine module's corresponding display screen region, and adjusting alignment of the excitation laser beam based on the measured alignment error.
IMAGE PROJECTION APPARATUS
Based on information about a vehicle, the information can be projected and displayed onto a road surface or the like. An image projection apparatus, which projects an image, includes an acquisition unit that acquires the information about the vehicle, and an image projection unit that projects the image based on the information acquired by the acquisition unit.
PROJECTION SYSTEM, PROJECTOR APPARATUS, IMAGE CAPTURING APPARATUS, AND PROJECTION METHOD
Provided is a projection system that sets an arbitrary three-dimensional shape as a projection target and properly corrects geometric distortion of a projected image even when a user's viewpoint is not fixed. A projection unit of the projector apparatus projects a test image for first adjustment. A three-dimensional shape measurement unit measures the three-dimensional shape of the projection target. An image capturing apparatus captures the test image for first adjustment projected by the projection unit to obtain a captured image for first adjustment. A projected image adjustment unit (1) performs first adjustment processing for correcting an image such that geometric image distortion viewed from an imaging point, at which the captured image for first adjustment has been captured, is reduced, based on a captured image for first adjustment obtained by the image capturing apparatus, and (2) performs second adjustment processing for correcting the image such that the geometric image distortion is reduced based on a state in which the image adjusted by the first adjustment processing is projected by the projection unit.
Automatic Alignment of a Contrast Enhancement System
An apparatus and method for insuring the proper alignment of a defected vein pattern and a projected vein pattern are disclosed. The apparatus enhances the visual appearance of veins so that an error that can lead to improper patient care or injury can be avoided.
Systems and methods for calibrating display systems
A method of calibrating a display system, the method comprising: displaying a test pattern including a plurality of blobs; detecting one or more base blobs in the displayed test pattern; identifying, based on the detected base blobs, patches of the test pattern, wherein each patch comprises one of the base blobs and a subset of additional blobs detected in the displayed test pattern; determining a patch location for at least one patch within the test pattern based on the subset of the additional blobs in the patch to determine a blob location for at least one detected blob; determining a calibration parameter for the display system based on the blob location and a detected attribute of the at least one detected blob; and calibrating the projector using the calibration parameter.
LASER PROJECTION DISPLAY DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING LASER LIGHTSOURCE DRIVING UNIT USED FOR SAME
The laser projection display device includes: a photo-sensor for detecting the quantity of laser light generated by the laser light source; and an image processing unit for processing a drive signal on the basis of the quantity of light of the detected laser light and supplying the processed drive signal to a driving unit for the laser light source. Right after the dimming, the image processing unit supplies the drive signal to the driving unit for the laser light source on the basis of the quantity of light of the detected laser light within a second execution cycle shorter than a first execution cycle which is the execution cycle used during the normal operation.
RELATIONSHIP PRESERVING PROJECTION OF DIGITAL OBJECTS
Examples associated with relationship preserving projection of digital objects are disclosed. One example includes identifying suitable locations within a physical space for projection of digital objects. The digital objects may be stored in a virtual space. A representation of a first digital object from the virtual space may be projected onto a first suitable location in the physical space and a representation of a second digital object from the virtual space may be projected onto a second suitable location in the physical space. The first suitable location and the second suitable location may preserve a spatial relationship between the first digital object and the second digital object.
ROOM CAPTURE AND PROJECTION
Examples associated with room capture and projection are disclosed. One example includes an information management module that may maintain information regarding a virtual space and a first digital object within the virtual space. The first digital object may be associated with an artifact in a physical space. A room calibration module may map the virtual space to the physical space using sensors to detect attributes of the physical space. A capture module may record a modification to the artifact to be maintained by the information management module. A projection module may project a representation of a second digital object into the physical space. The representation may be projected based on a signal from the information management module.
COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM, COMPUTER APPARATUS, POSITIONING METHOD, AND POSITIONING SYSTEM
A positioning program executed by a computer apparatus in a positioning system comprising: an invisible ray screen formed by invisible rays; a projection screen disposed in the vicinity of the invisible ray screen along the invisible ray screen; a projector device that projects an image onto the projection screen; a camera that detects reflected light of invisible rays by imaging the invisible ray screen; and the computer apparatus, wherein the projection screen is installed so that a part of the image projected onto the projection screen is outside angle of view of the camera, and the positioning program causes the computer apparatus to function as a locator that, in a case where a detection target object is caused to pass through the invisible ray screen, locate a passage position of the detection target object on the invisible ray screen, based on the reflected light of invisible rays detected by the camera.
