Techniques for capturing video in landscape mode by a handheld device
Video or image capture device and method of operation of the capture device are described. One example method includes determining, for a video capture by a capture device, a capture orientation mode setting of the capture device, capturing a video using one of a first camera or a second camera based on the capture orientation mode and a current orientation of the capture device, wherein the video is in the capture orientation mode, and storing, after capturing, the video in a video file.
System And Method For Creating And Sharing A 3D Virtual Model Of An Event
A system and method for creating a 3D virtual model of an event, such as a wedding or sporting event, and for sharing the event with one or more virtual attendees. Virtual attendees connect to the experience platform to view the 3d virtual model of the event on virtual reality glasses, i.e. a head mounted display, from a virtual gallery, preferably from a user selected location and orientation or a common location and orientation for all virtual attendees. In one form the virtual attendees can see and interact with other virtual attendees in the virtual gallery.
MOVIE ADVERTISING PLAYBACK SYSTEMS AND METHODS
An ad in a movie can be a static ad having a position in the movie that cannot be moved, or a dynamic ad having a position in the movie that can be changed. When a viewer wishes to skip a portion of the movie containing the ad, the playback system determines whether the ad is static or dynamic. If the ad is static, only the portion of the movie preceding the static ad can be skipped; the ad is unskippable. This technique is referred to as “bounceback” since the end of the skip bounces back to the start of the static ad. If the ad is dynamic, it is moved to after the end of the skip. This technique is referred to as “slip-ad” since the ad slips to later in the movie. When a movie has multiple ads, some can be static and some can be dynamic.
MEDIA PRESENTATION DESCRIPTION
A method for indicating repeat occurrences of advertisements in media content may include one or more of the following. The method may include inserting a first descriptor element for a media content in a media presentation description (MPD) associated with the media content. The method may include inserting a second descriptor element for a repeat occurrence of the media content in the MPD. The second descriptor element may indicate that, during the repeat occurrence of the media content, the media content be presented from the beginning.
Randomly accessible visual information recording medium and recording method, and reproducing device and reproducing method
Access point pictures designated as randomly accessible positions are I pictures or P pictures. Information indicating the decoding sequence (I1, P1, B1, B2, B3, B4, P2, . . . ) of pictures functioning as access points and attribute information (picture_type) indicating whether a picture functions as an access point or is necessary for decoding of the access point following a given access point are recorded on the video information recording medium. Random access is possible even if the GOP interval is lengthened.
Imaging apparatus, imaging method and program
An imaging apparatus includes a display control unit that displays, according to an operation of activating an imaging unit, a first region in which an image created by the imaging unit is displayed and a second region in which map information is displayed; and an image recording unit, wherein according to an operation of appending the image to the map information after an imaging instructing operation for the first region, the image recording unit adds location information about a position, at which the appending operation to the map information has been performed, to the image and stores the image.
System, method, and program product for generating graphical video clip representations associated with video clips correlated to electronic audio files
Systems, methods, and program products for matching electronic audio files (such as songs) to associated electronic video work excerpts or electronic video clips from movies, televisions shows or advertisements in accordance with one or more sync licenses and generating and providing graphical representations of such video clips are disclosed.
TRANSCODING USING TIME STAMPS
Systems and methods of transcoding video sequences for delivery in a mobile network. A source video sequence including source video frames is received and a source video frame type associated with each of the source video frames is determined based on a differential between a composition time stamp (CTS) and a decoding time stamp (DTS) associated with each of the source video frames. A frame type ratio value for the target frame-types is calculated based on a longest mini-GOP length. A target frame size of each target video frame is determined based on the frame type ratio value and a target transcoding rate, and each of the target video frames in a target video track is encoded to the target frame size to form a target video sequence.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD
An image processing apparatus, comprising a memory that stores first image data, and a processor that includes an image associated information processing section, wherein the image associated information processing section, for the image data of a single frame that has been taken at a plurality of shooting conditions, within the first image data that has been stored in the memory, acquires image region information, relating to an image region in which shooting is carried out at different shooting conditions, and image associated information of the image region, associates the image region information and the image associated information and subjects the first image data to image processing, and generates second image data.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
To enable an HDR image and an HDR image metadata to be stored in an MP4 file, and a reproduction device to reproduce an optimum HDR image based on metadata. In generating the MP4 file that stores HDR image data, the HDR image metadata is recorded in the MP4 file. An HDR image metadata storage box is set to a trak box or a traf box in the MP4 file, and the HDR image metadata is stored. The reproduction device acquires the HDR image metadata stored in the MP4 file, determines whether executing a conversion process of the HDR image read from. the MP4 file according to the acquired metadata and display function information of the display unit, and executes an output image generation process according to a determination result.
