MULTISCOPIC WHITETAIL SCORING GAME CAMERA SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A game scoring camera system is disclosed for capturing images of game animals for the purpose of scoring the antlers using an accepted scoring method. One or more cameras are used in a multiscopic arrangement for capturing two-dimensional (2-D) images which are then converted to three-dimensional (3-D) data models, the resulting 3-D data models being used for determining measurements of various antler structures for calculating a score for the set of antlers captured in the images, the score being based on existing antler scoring systems. Some embodiments include one or more cameras, each being mounted on an unmanned aerial vehicle or drone, for capturing images during an aerial survey of game animals located within a particular area. Other embodiments include at least two cameras mounted in a stationary configuration for capturing images of game animals located within a particular area.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE TRACEABILITY OF GEMSTONES BASED ON GEMSTONE MODELING
A method generating a more accurate 3D model for at least two gemstones using external surface of the gemstones; storing, in memory, the more accurate 3D model of the first gemstone and the second gemstone; comparing the more accurate 3D model of the first gemstone and the more accurate 3D model of the second gemstone from the stored memory; calculating, based on the comparison, a matching score for the more accurate 3D model of the first gemstone and the more accurate 3D model of the second gemstone, the matching score being informative of a match between the first gemstone and the second gemstone; and identifying the first gemstone and the second gemstone as being the same gemstone when the matching score meets a predefined matching criterion.
SMA ACTUATORS FOR OPTICAL IMAGE STABILISATION
Broadly speaking, embodiments of the present techniques provide shape memory alloy (SMA) actuation apparatus for moving a moveable component relative to a static component or support structure and along a notional primary axis. The SMA actuation apparatus may comprise a biasing element to resist motion of the moveable component in particular directions relative to the primary axis, or may comprise an arrangement of SMA actuator wires that provides the biasing function.
Apparatus and method for guiding multi-view capture
Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for guiding multi-view capture. The apparatus for guiding multi-view capture includes one or more processors and an execution memory for storing at least one program that is executed by the one or more processors, wherein the at least one program is configured to receive a single-view two-dimensional (2D) image obtained by capturing an image of an object of interest through a camera, generate an orthographic projection image and a perspective projection image for the object of interest from the single-view 2D image using an image conversion parameter that is previously learned from multi-view 2D images for the object of interest, generate a 3D silhouette model for the object of interest using the orthographic projection image and the perspective projection image, and output the 3D silhouette model and a guidance interface for the 3D silhouette model.
Integrated display rendering
A system, method or compute program product for displaying a first image based on first image data in a display area of a first display device, receiving at least one camera-captured second image of an environment with the second image capturing at least a portion of the first image displayed in the display area, determining a location and orientation of the first display device relative to the camera, determining a portion of the second image that corresponds to the portion of the first image displayed in the display area, generating a third image that corresponds to the portion of the first image displayed on the first display device as viewed from a point of view of the camera from the first image data, and generating a composite image of the environment by replacing at least a portion of the second image with the third image, and displaying the composite image.

DEVICE FOR DETECTING A THREE-DIMENSIONAL STRUCTURE
The invention relates to a device for detecting a three-dimensional structure, comprising an imaging device, especially a camera, which is adjustable in the z-direction, a control device which is designed to record an image of a first plane and, after adjustment of the imaging device in the z-direction, to record an image of a second plane, and an evaluation device which is designed to interpolate a sub-plane between the first plane and the second plane.

Damage detection from multi-view visual data
Reference images of an object may be mapped to an object model to create a reference object model representation. Evaluation images of the object may also be mapped to the object model via the processor to create an evaluation object model representation. Object condition information may be determined by comparing the reference object model representation with the evaluation object model representation. The object condition information may indicate one or more differences between the reference object model representation and the evaluation object model representation. A graphical representation of the object model that includes the object condition information may be displayed on a display screen.
Determining facial metrics of a patient and identifying a custom mask for the patient therefrom
A method of determining facial metrics of a patient includes: capturing a first image of the patient with an image capturing device positioned in a first known position with the assistance of a positioning device, capturing a second image of the patient with the image capturing device positioned in a second known position different that the first known position with the assistance of the positioning device, and determining facial metrics of the patient by analyzing the first image and the second image.
