A method of video processing is provided. The method includes: determining, for a conversion between a current video block of a video and a coded representation of the video, a mode of operation of an UMVE mode; and performing the conversion based on the determining, wherein the current video block is coded with an affine merge mode and motion vector differences in the affine UMVE mode, and wherein one or more fields in the coded representation correspond to the mode of operation, and wherein the one or more fields include: a list size field that indicates a size of a base affine merge candidate list for an affine merge mode with prediction offsets that is used by the UMVE mode, or a table field that signals a distance table or a direction table for the affine merge mode with prediction offsets.
Method and apparatus for performing encoding/decoding by using region-based inter/intra prediction technique

The method of decoding an image includes: determining a projection format of a 360-degree video image; determining, on the basis of the determined projection format, a spatial correlation degree between a current block and a neighboring block; and determining, on the basis of the determined spatial correlation degree, a candidate block for predicting the current block.

A method of partitioning a coding unit (CU) into one or more transform units (TUs) for encoding a video sequence using at least one processor includes determining a height of the CU; determining a width of the CU; determining a TU size of each of the one or more TUs based on the height of the CU and the width of the CU; determining one or more TU positions of the one or more TUs based on the height of the CU and the width of the CU; and partitioning the CU into the one or more TUs based on the determined size of the one or more TUs and the one or more positions of the one or more TUs.

A method of visual media processing includes determining, for a conversion between a current video block of visual media data and a bitstream representation of the current video block, a buffer that stores reference samples for prediction in an intra block copy mode; for a sample spatially located at location of the current video block relative to an upper-left position of a coding tree unit including the current video block and having a block vector, computing a corresponding reference in the buffer at a reference location, wherein the reference location is determined using the block vector and the location; and upon determining that the reference location lies outside the buffer, re-computing the reference location based at least in part on a location of the current video block relative to the coding tree unit including the current video block.

The method involves a data transmission related technology in a cloud technology, and includes: acquiring at least two coding units in an image frame in video data, acquiring motion vector information of each coding unit of the at least two coding units, determining overall average vector information of the image frame based on the motion vector information of each coding unit, determining component average vector information of the image frame in a reference direction based on component vector information of the motion vector information of each coding unit in the reference direction, determining a frame execution policy of the image frame for a motion search operation in the reference direction according to the overall average vector information and the component average vector information, and encoding the image frame according to the determined frame execution policy.
